Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe is a park – but it’s no ordinary park. Built on a large slope at one edge of the German city of Kassel, it is the world’s second largest hillside park.
Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe covers almost 600 acres, and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2013. Its location is on the sunny and airy Habichtswald hills, west of the center of the city of Kassel, Germany.

THE FLY GEYSER on Fly Ranch in Nevada is an unusual (and unplanned) collaboration between man and nature. The multi-colored geothermal geyser, which constantly sprays water five feet in the air, building up the landmark by depositing minerals and multi-colored thermophilic algae on the surrounding terraces—is the result of a 1964 drilling project that was never properly capped.
Located on a gated parcel of private property within the million-acre Black Rock Desert, Fly Geyser is not a natural phenomenon. It was created accidentally from a geothermal test well inadequately capped.
In 1964, Fly Geyser began erupting with scalding water in multiple places, after a second poorly-capped well was dug not far from the first. The repetitive eruptions dissolved minerals and over time, the mineral deposits developed the mount and various terraces that now surround the ever-growing geyser.

The desserts are priced at about $43 while the a la carte exclusive meal goes for $130. The seven-course meal in this high-end restaurant is priced at about $255 including tax and tips. A seasonal 5-course meal costs about $199 per person. Some of these pricey meals are served alongside prawn ravioli within olive oil broth. They can also be served combined with veal combined with cinnamon-aromatic puree.

This restaurant services French meals with Japanese twists. It’s located at an old steakhouse in central Kyoto. One of its notable meals is the Kaiseki-form French cuisine which has been served since the early 1980s. Its 8-course meal, costs no less than $162. A more specialized multiple course meals cost about $270 including tax. Even then it has to be ordered and paid for 5-days ahead of time. They offer desserts such as chocolate marquise along with berries in a sauce of pistachio cream. Some meals include beef fillet with buttered French beans, grilled pumpkin and potato soufflés.

Japan's version of Germany's "Romantic Road" leads over 350 kilometers across three prefectures (Nagano, Gunma and Tochigi). The route passes through various interesting towns, hot spring resorts and lots of natural scenery, including places like Karuizawa, Kusatsu and Nikko.
The Japan Romantic Road was modeled after its German namesake. Like the European one, Japan's is a themed road conceptualized to add a little spice to the drive through a wide swath of countryside.
