EXPLORE MAJESTIC NORTH SIKKIM FOR TWO NIGHTS AND THREE DAYS .

Day1: GANGTOK - LACHEN VALLEY VIA CHUNGTHUNG.
Pick up from the hotel premises around at 10:30 a m and proceed towards Lachung which is 6 hrs drive. En route visit seven Sister waterfalls, Singhik view point from where you can have a splending view of Mt. Kanchendzonga and its ranges. On the way have lunch, tea break at Chungthang, which is the gateway to Lachen and Lachung . Arrival at Lachen , Overnight stay at Lachung Valley.
Day2: EXCUSRION – GURUDONGMAR LAKE - LACHUNG
Early in the morning without breakfast at 6:00 am, proceed to Gurudongmar Lake (17,200ft) 3 hours drive from Lachen, via Thangu and Chopta valley. Breakfast at Thangu Valley (this is a acclimatized zone before proceeding to Gurudongmar Lake /Guru with red face).
After breakfast at chopta valley proceed ahead admiring at beautiful landscape before arriving at Gurudongmar lake, also regarded as one of the Sacred lake where Guru Padmasambhava did his meditation in this “sacred lake called Gurudongmar” before he left for Tibet (this border area of Sikkim and Tibet). Back to lachen at 12 noon, take a Lunch and transfer to Lachung, Overnight stay at lachung valley

Day3: LACHUNG VALLEY - YUMTHANG VALLEY & ZERO POINT - GANGTOK.

Enjoy the fresh morning from the balcony with jaw dropping view of the mountains while sipping some hot tea , Post breakfast and leave for excursion towards Yumthang valley which is 24 km from Lachung which is at the height of 11,800 ft and it is known as the valley of flowers – with the marvelous blend of Rodhendoun flowers which gives a gateway to heaven . Visit Zero point formal known as “Yumesamdong “, which stands at an altitude of 15,300 feet and it is the last outpost of civilization where three rivers meet amid a panoramic view of the snow clad mountains and picturesque surroundings . Tourists with asthma are advised to avoid this place due to high altitude sickness because of low oxygen level.
After that on the way back to Lachung , you can visit Lachung Gompa which is the oldest monastery located on the high altitude . Get back to Lachung and take lunch break and transfer back to Gangtok. Drop back at hotel permises

Uttarey, West Sikkim ( THE HIDDEN PARADISE)
Situated in the west district in of Sikkim , You can reach Uttarey from Pelling, Gyalshing or Dentam . On the way you will pass the Sinshore bridge said to be the second highest bridge in Asia . The height of Uttarey stand at about 6600ft . Uttarey is famous for its tranquility and natural beauty . The place provides beautiful view to the Himalayan mountains and its yet relatively more travelled by tourist. Uttarey valley is surrounded by the high hills and dense forest.
During winter the mountains around here are covered with snow allowing heavenly views.

North Sikkim Situated in the northern district of Sikkim, Lachen is one of the most beautiful towns an attractive tourist spot which is well known for its Lachung monastery. Its natural beauty and serene vegetation are worth commending and it is believed to be one of the most noteworthy and popular places for Buddhist pilgrims and tourists. Lachen is a less-populated beautiful holiday destination, also famous as the gateway to the sacred Gurudongmar and Tso Lhamu lakes.

The most prevailing area in Lachen is the Nyingma order of Himalayan Buddhism and the Lachen Monastery, Lachen Chu and the alpine covers. The quaint Sikkim town is known for its lush vegetation that contains mainly grasslands and shrubs along with apple orchards. The pine-covered valleys and black cliffs of snowy-white hills of the Eastern Himalayas start from Lachen which makes it the base station for many trekking areas in the North Sikkim region including the famous Green Lake and Kanchenjunga National Park treks. Lachen provides expeditions to Chopta Valley, Green Lake, Cho-Lamu, Gurudongmar Lake and Shinghba Rhododendron Sanctuary.
Yumthang Valley, Lachung
The popular Yumthang Valley in North Sikkim is located 140 km north of Gangtok. Famous as the "Valley of flowers", this is a rare and exotic location with hot springs, rivers, yaks and lush green meadows. Situated at an elevation on 3564 metres, this stunning valley is a paradise for nature lovers as it houses the Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary which has over 24 species of Rhododendron flowers (the state flower) blooming from late February to mid-June.

Yumthang Valley is closed to tourists between December and March due to the heavy snowfall in the region. A few hot springs are situated in Yumthang Valley, which is often visited by tourists as they are believed to have miraculous healing power. Apart from a cosmic green meadow, plush green forest abundant in Pine and silver fir trees fills the area. On your way towards Yumthang Valley, you can see gushing waterfalls and streams along with a splendid view of peaks with Pauhunri and Shundu Tsenpa.

Khecheopalri Lake is a tranquil lagoon amidst the dense forests in West Sikkim. Located at a distance of 30kms, Khecheopalri Lake can be easily reached from Geyzing via Pemayangtse. The significance of Khecheopalri Lake lies in the fact that it is worshipped both by the Buddhists as well as the Hindus. The placid waters of this lake appear to comprise a celestial charisma. Pilgrims and tourists from all parts of the world come to visit this sacred lake.

Khecheopalri Lake is a consecrated lake that remains concealed under a thick forest cover of temperate vegetation and bamboo. The striking fact about this lake is that it remains leafless, despite the fact that it falls in a forested area. It is believed that the native birds do not let a single leaf floating over the lake surface. As soon as leaves fall on the water surface, the birds pick them up, keeping the waters neat and clean.

About 21 km away from Bhim Nala Falls, the Naga Falls sits somewhere along the Gangtok - Chungthang road and is easily one of the most spectacular places to visit in Lachung. Another one of the tallest waterfalls in Sikkim, this multi-tiered cascade is veered a little ways off the beaten tracks and offers wonderful solitude and respite from the most popular sites in Lachung.
