Spent yesterday in the visiting , an estate given to my mother’s family in 1325 by Robert the Bruce. Generations of Irwin’s lived here and participated in many important political appointments, including the ransom of James I and work with James V, father of Mary, Queen of Scots.

Though the “Irwin” branch of the family has been in the US since the 1600s, it was amazing to visit a place so rich in history and learn the deep roots of my Scottish past! @ Drum Castle, Garden & Estate
