Winding down the road on Shafer Trail into Canyonlands! Nestled near Moab, this park offers spectacular overlooks and fun hikes! Be sure to save this post for your next trip to Canyonlands National Park! Make sure you go check out our new stickers in the link in our bio if you haven’t already! They are spectacular! Being so close to Arches, you can knock out 2 parks in one easy trip! There are a few roads that wind down into the canyon which are fun to explore! You can get much closer to the Colorado River which carves its way through the valley and have the cliffs towering above you! Make sure to bring plenty of water with you, even if you are spending the day in the car as temperatures routinely rise to above 100 F. Sunrise and sunsets are must when visiting this park, well worth the missed sleep! As always, please follow the leave no trace principles while in the parks. Be respectful of others giving plenty of space. Wait your turn to take pictures and please don’t cut in front of someone, be patient. Together we can make the parks wonderful for everyone to enjoy! Amazing skies at Bryce Canyon National Park! Be sure to save this post for your next visit to Bryce Canyon! Before we hop into todays description, be sure to click the link in our bio to check out our newest stickers we just released! They are incredibly beautiful, you must go see them! The Navajo trail is an absolute must do when visiting the Bryce Canyon National Park. You go into the canyon and pass by some of its most famous landmarks like Thors Hammer that you can see here! So picturesque! This area is very nice because you can see most of the canyon from the rim right off the parking lot making it accessible for everyone! When doing this trail, you have two options; start at sunrise point or start at sunset point! I’d highly recommend starting at sunset point because you end up going down this massive switchbacks instead of up them. It is slightly easier than doing it reverse, and you hit the hardest part of the trail when you’re fresh allowing you to enjoy it more! Bryce Canyon is beautiful any time of year! If you decide to visit in the fall and winter months, be sure to pack warm as it gets very cold. Also be sure to continually drink water, even though you might not feel thirsty hiking in the cold. The same rule applies for the hot summer months, be sure to drink lots of water! Heat stroke is real in the summer and is something you want to avoid! As always, please follow the leave no trace principles while in the parks. Be respectful of others giving plenty of space. Wait your turn to take pictures and please don’t cut in front of someone, be patient. Together we can make the parks wonderful for everyone to enjoy! Tag someone you would bring here!!! Such a unique and fantastic capture from Zion National Park. Be sure to save this post for your next trip to Zion! With parks as well photographed as Zion, finding hidden gems to photograph sets you apart from everyone else. Walking along the Virgin River for different compositions will unlock that potential. The river is super beautiful as you walk along it. It offers great contrast to the red rocks and cliffs that make Zion famous. Highly worth checking out during your trip! As always, please follow the leave no trace principles while visiting the parks. Take out any trash you bring with you including compostable material like apple cores and bread scraps and sadly now masks. This was a major issue I noticed in this most recent trip. If you do wear one while in the trail, please please please don’t leave it out in the wilderness, take it out with you. I ended up picking up and throwing away around 6-8 masks on just 2 of the many hikes I did. If you encounter animals like squirrels, chipmunks, or marmots, please do not feed them as it encourages them to go closer to humans and steal their food (this has become a major problem in the parks). Together we can make our parks wonderful for everyone to enjoy! Tag someone you would bring here!!! Drop a like, save and share this post, and leave a comment with your thoughts!!! What is your favorite place in Zion National Park???

An amazing capture from a side trail in Zion National Park! Be sure to save this post for your next trip to Zion! The other trails besides the famous Angels Landing in the same area also offer fantastic views of the massive cliffs as you can see here! Hitting some of the side trails to further explore the area makes for some amazing views! Taking your time and looking back while you are hiking can give you some incredible landscapes! Avalanche Lake kissed by the sun! Be sure to save this post for your next trip to Glacier National Park. One of the most epic and unique spots in Glacier, Avalanche Lake is a must stop. Featuring 3 waterfalls, a pristine lake, and mountain rock cliffs, this place has it all! The hike up isn’t too bad, it is an easy 5.7 mile out and back trip with views far exceeding the work to get there. You also get to experience some amazing forest and waterfalls along Avalanche Creek that make this a lot of fun!Our picture from the other day shows how beautiful the creek is! However, this is one of the most heavily trafficked hikes in Glacier, so getting an early start is important to beat the crowds. Parking can be hard to find, another reason to try to arrive early. During normal years, taking the shuttle is the way to go if you aren’t someone who likes to wake up early. Glacier has so many things to offer, it holds a special place in my heart. My second home, I am so excited each year to venture back and see more and more of its beauty! As always, please follow the leave no trace principles while in the parks. Be respectful of others giving plenty of space. Wait your turn to take pictures and please don’t cut in front of someone, be patient. Together we can make the parks wonderful for everyone to enjoy! Standing beneath one of the most iconic locations in Arches National Park, Delicate Arch! Be sure to save this post for your next trip to Arches National Park! Finding unique angles that show popular places in new ways is amazing and will set you apart! Delicate Arch is one of the most famous spots in Arches, and is very heavily trafficked. Going for sunrise or sunset is simply spectacular, but during the day is also wonderful! The hike is longer than you might think and is mostly uphill, so be sure you are able to handle the uphill when you attempt it. When we made it to the top, the wind was blasting making it hard to move around. Be sure to hold your hats as they could easily fall off. There is even a pole with hats stored there if you were to lose yours. The view is worth the effort! This view is one of the most beautiful in the park! As always, please follow the leave no trace principles when in the parks. Please be respectful of others and be patient waiting your turn to take a photo. Do not cut people who have been waiting for a long time, and please don’t cut in front of photographers who have been waiting to take a photo of an area without people in it. Together we can make the parks wonderful for everyone! Be sure to like, save and share this post, and leave a comment with your thoughts! Tag someone you would bring here! Has the wind ever taken your hats?? If so, drop your story in the comments! What is your favorite arch in Arches???

There are not many places that beat Moraine Lake in Banff National Park! Be sure to save this post for your next trip to Banff! This is one of the most iconic locations in Canada for good reason. The water is an amazing color and the mountains are wonderful! There are many overlook places to catch different angles of the lake, but this is by far the most famous spot! It is beautiful year round! Well worth the visit! As this place is super famous, you’ll have to arrive early to get a parking spot. You may also be maneuvering with a lot of other photographers to find a spot to shoot this landscape. Have you checked out our stickers yet??? The Grand Canyon come to life! Be sure to save this post for your next trip to the Grand Canyon! Any overlook offers spectacular views into the canyon making your visit easy! Catching sunrise and sunset is a must do when visiting the park as you will see a beautiful glow. There are many things to do in the park for people of all fitness capabilities! Hiking along the rim is extremely easy and flat, perfect for anyone! For those wanting a little more adventure, there are plenty of hikes into the canyon. If you do hike into the canyon, make sure you are prepared. During the summer months it routinely exceeds 100 F in the canyon, so be sure to pack lots of water. When I hiked into the canyon, I sat and talked with a ranger for a bit, and he brought up some good points to be mindful of. Hiking the canyon is unique because you start by going downhill which can create a false sense of ease. When you are returning, your hike is straight elevation gain the whole time. Some people overestimate how much they can handle and hike to far into the canyon and they can’t get out. Rangers routinely have to either carry people out on horseback or fly a helicopter in to rescue them. Taking stock of your hiking abilities when planning a hike into the canyon is crucial. Be honest with yourself and certainly always air on the safe side to avoid a rescue situation. As always, please follow the leave no trace principles while in the parks. Be respectful of others giving plenty of space. Wait your turn to take pictures and please don’t cut in front of someone, be patient. Together we can make the parks wonderful for everyone to enjoy! Moving on over to one of my favorite National Parks in the US! Be sure to save this post for your next visit to Glacier!Glacier National Park has been my second home my entire life, and I have gotten to know it well. It is getting near prime time for visiting the park. Now that the park has become much more popular, I tend to stay away from the most popular hikes, but occasionally I will venture back on them! This was taken on the hike to Avalanche Lake, one of the most heavily trafficked hikes in Glacier, and for good reason! Avalanche Creek is simply spectacular on your hike up. Since most of the water in the park is glacial fed, it is unbelievably clear! This hike is a must do if you have never been the to the park before, but be sure to arrive early if you want a parking spot. The other option is taking the shuttle up and hopping off at the Avalanche Lake stop, once they are up and running again that can be a very nice option, especially if you want to continue up to Logan Pass. The hike is short and relatively easy yet the payoff is huge! So beautiful! As always, please follow the leave no trace principles while visiting the parks. Take out any trash you bring with you including compostable material like apple cores and bread scraps and sadly now masks. This was a major issue I noticed in this most recent trip. I ended up picking up and throwing away around 6-8 masks on just 2 of the many hikes I did. A unique view of one of the most iconic hikes in Zion once the chains begin, Angels Landing is one of the best hikes in the National Parks! Be sure to save this post for your next trip to Zion National Park! Not for those scared of heights, you will be walking along 1000 foot cliff edges to make your way up to the top of Angels Landing. The end is well worth the effort with amazing views 360 degrees into the valley below. This is a very difficult hike with lots of switchbacks to get up to the chains, so be ready for a workout! Be sure you are prepared with lots of water as the midday heat is extremely hot. Also be sure to take extra caution in winter conditions as the rock can get slippery. If you aren’t confident in your abilities and it is slippery, it might be a good choice to stay back. The end is worth all the hard work as the views are spectacular! The whole experience makes this hike one of the most memorable of your life!!! As always, please follow the leave no trace principles while traveling the parks. Be courteous of other hikers, and always give the person going up the mountain the right of way. This becomes especially important on chain sections like this route. Please also carry out all waste you bring into the park (this includes compostable food scraps). Together, we can make the parks wonderful for everyone to enjoy for years to come! Tucked away in Rocky Mountain National Park, this phenomenal lake looks out of this world! Be sure to save this post for your next trip to Rocky Mountain National Park! Did you know lakes like this existed in the US??? It feels like you are in the Dolomites! If you have been following us for awhile, you have heard references to Sky Pond, and here it is in full glory. This is one of the top rated hikes in RMNP, although it is a tough one, so make sure you are prepared. Getting here for sunrise is incredible as you can see! You encounter wonderful views in the way for breaks at some waterfalls and Loch Vale, and you even get to scramble up a waterfall towards the end to get here! I absolutely love this landscape, I think it looks like the back of a dinosaur! Such a beautiful place, I would highly recommend doing this hike! El Cap peaking through the clouds! Be sure to save this post for your next trip to Yosemite National Park! Yosemite offers truly incredible landscapes that are out of this world. The cliffs tower above the valley below, especially El Capitan. El Cap is famous for its amazing rock climbing route being 3000 feet above the ground. For those not into climbing, it is also a must see when you visit the park. There are many rivers below that are worth checking out. As you can see here, the reflections are amazing! Glacier National Park is my favorite park in the US. Be sure to save this post for your next trip to Glacier! It is my second home having gone every year my entire life. One view that never gets old is the Going to the Sun Road, one of the parks most famous spots. There are wildflowers along a lot of the drive as you can see here. Driving it at sunset offers spectacular views as you can see here! This road is always jam packed with cars, so be ready for some slow moving traffic. Parking spots are also extremely limited, but if you are trying to park at Logan Pass, sometimes driving a little past it towards the east side of the park will have some open spots on the road. If you are a serious biker, many people bike this road which would be spectacular! As always, please follow the leave no trace principles while visiting the parks.
