On our way out to dinner in Grafton Auckland we went to a Mexican cafe and I have to say it was the worst food ever.

We left Piha beach this morning making our way through very windey hilly roads which is fear number 1 for me and arriving at our destination of the Hum hostel what a delightful place after their initial shock of our arrival as booking.com had not notified them they went to so much trouble to create a room for us which is more like a suite we have our bedroom (bunk beds) but the bonus is we have private dining/retreat room and another room for our bags or whatever also verandah that wraps around the whole historic house also access to 2 longerooms furnished in period style and the kitchen there is the Hum cafe in the front yard and a delightful resting area with pizza oven in the back yard.

I was going to take a pic of this delicious vegetarian roll and salad with NZ pale ale but I was so hungry the only thing I have eaten all day is a hokey pokey white chocolate biscuit on the plane so I ate it before pic anyhow here's the empty plate it was very yummy
