The Vikings first invaded Ireland in 795 AD (Norse warriors).

The history of the Vikings in Ireland spans over 200 years and although it can be considered short-lived, they did make important contributions to the Irish way of life.

You don't want to miss this Viking Event at Slane Castle on the 17th & 18th of May. Feel the excitement of watching the Viking warriors re-enacting battles and talk to Vikings from all over Europe in traditional costumes about the way about the old way of life.

Bovinda Cottage, on the beautiful coast of Co Meath, is less than 30 minutes away.
