Let's talk Disney World transportation!

Once you've made it to your Disney Resort, there are a couple of options for FREE on-property transportation (depending on which resort you're staying at). Disney offers a variety of different types of transportation (bus, monorail, boat, etc.), but their newest addition is the Skyliner!

The Skyliner is accessible via the Art of Animation, Caribbean Beach, Pop Century, and Riviera Resorts. It also has a stop at the "back" entrance to Epcot and the main entrance of Hollywood Studios!

Considering what type of transportation a resort has before you book is a great way to maximize the complimentary transportation options available to you during your vacation stay!

Ever wonder when the best time to visit Walt Disney World is?

Historically, if you're looking for the time to visit with the lowest crowds, September is your best bet! Since most kids are headed back to school, it's a prime time to visit if you're looking for smaller crowds and lower wait times.

But if you're trying to bring kids to Walt Disney World, September might be more difficult for you. Another great time to visit Disney World is the end of January through the beginning of February, when the holiday crowds have cleared out. We can personally attest to this timeframe, as it's been our favorite time to go almost every single year since we've been married!

Other things to think about when planning a Disney vacation:
- Weather (do you mind if it's super hot & humid?)
- Events (what Disney-sanctioned events or holidays are taking place at Disney during the time you're thinking of visiting?)

Are you a fan of the Disney Springs expansion?

On our last trip, my husband mentioned how he loved when "Downtown Disney" (as it used to be called) was small and more Disney focused, opposed to having so many extra shops and restaurants.

I, on the other hand, love all of the extra shopping and food! Where do you stand?

Pretty little pink blooms in Disney Springs 😍 We were surprised to see blossoms turning pink in Orlando during our mid-February trip! Especially when, here in Pittsburgh, Spring is still a couple of months away. Definitely a treat!

This is the wedding pavillion at the Boardwalk - Sea Breeze Point 😍 Couples say their vows overlooking the beautiful Crescent Lake, overlooking the Yacht & Beach Clubs! Honestly, if my husband and I could get married again... we would totally get married here!!

Has anyone here gotten married in Disney? If so - where? And what was it like?!

If you take a walk from Hollywood Studios to the Boardwalk (or vise versa!) you'll see this turning station for Disney's Skyliner, Disney's "in the sky" transportation! There is a Skyliner station at the Hollywood Studios entrance gate, as well as the secondary entrance gate for Epcot, making both stations an easy walk from the Boardwalk!

These Skyliners are great options for checking out other resorts around the Disney property, including theCaribbean Beach Resort, Art of Animation Resort, Pop Century Resort and Riviera Resort.

Love this little view of the Beach Club! Did you know that it has been temporarily closed? 😔 It's still a great place to walk around and check out, though! Hoping that all of these resorts are able to open up again soon ❤️

How about all of those beautiful colors framing the Beach Club 😍 Today begins the Flower & Garden Festival in Epcot, which runs through May! We accidentally stumbled upon it one year, and it's been my favorite ever since! What is your favorite event that Epcot puts on?

One of my favorite parts of our most recent trip was getting to see some of the new areas at the France pavillion in Epcot (which you can see somewhat from the Boardwalk walkway!)

This was one of my favorite new views 😍 The "Gusteau" restaurant sign was up (you can see it from the Skyliner!), but the area leading up to the new Ratatouille ride was closed off! It was still super fun to see the progress, though 😍

Question for you all - obviously, this account is dedicated to the #1 resort on Disney property, but how do you feel about us mixing in some additional content from resorts surrounding the Boardwalk, and even other spots from around the Disney property? Oh my, I can't wait to share all of the images from our most recent trip to the Boardwalk! While we didn't stay on the Boardwalk property (it's closed right now to non-DVC members!), we did spend quite a bit of time walking around our favorite place. Thankfully, we stayed at Pop Century resort, which is only a Skyline ride away from the Boardwalk! ⛵️

Alright friends! We were FINALLY able to make it back to the beloved Boardwalk last week, and boy was it good to be back! Obviously, it was just as beautiful as ever. Here were a few tid-bits we picked up while we were down there:⁠
⁠
- The Boardwalk Resort is only open to DVC members right now... not to the general public for booking! (But you CAN still go walk around the resort!)⁠
- The Bellevue Lounge is currently closed (or was as of a week ago!). You can't even go in to sit there 😔⁠
- Trattoria al Forno and the Boardwalk Bakery are both still open! Flying Fish is CLOSED.⁠
- We heard that the chef from the Flying Fish is going to be helping Trattoria al Forno update their menu this Spring, so there should be lots of new yummy foods to try there! They weren't sure when Flying Fish was going to reopen.⁠
- Big River Grille & Brewing Works is now OPEN after being closed for a long period of time!⁠

While we didn't have the opportunity to stay AT the Boardwalk (we aren't DVC members!) we did still get to spend a LOT of time there. If you have any Q's, feel free to drop them below and we'll do our best to answer! ❤️
