I have been a part of the RA community for over 5 years. Having been blessed with my husband’s parents introducing me to my future home, I anticipate a long and amazing life. I expect to age in place here and believe I have lots of years to create friendships and relationships.
I am part of a community and want to help as I am able.
If you need a helping hand - I am mobile. I do shopping runs.
If you are immune compromised, please stay home and let me go for your shopping needs.

Limited transportation is a health crisis waiting to happen.
We, as a community must work together. Ride sharing and flexibility are beginning to be the norm and I am trying my best to be a blessing to my family by working and to your family by helping you be much more independent.

On my heart today.
As we age, independence and vulnerability merge.
One day, we open our eyes and notice that the freedom of youth is being limited.
We seem to be slower at walking, driving, thinking. Things that we took for granted, now come at a price.
Energy is harder to come by. Sleep is longer and maybe stiffer. Everyday tasks just seem to take forever and when we get that spurt of energy, it just seems to Peter us out.
So? What to do?
Some of us just ignore things and stop inviting friends and family over. Some of us eat poorly.
And some of us decide we could use a bit of help.
Vulnerability is okay if we work together.
Reach out and ask if you need a ride to the grocery store. Reach out if you need a ride to the pharmacy, post office, Doctor.
Using a hand up is only embarrassing if you take advantage.

My friend and I have been to Las Vegas and back 3 times. I am so very grateful that I have been able to be the driver for Ms. Gloria as she has a son in the hospital and doesn’t drive.
Working together, both of us get a blessing.

Today, I have the pleasure of taking a lovely RA neighbor on her errand runs. We shall leave around 10:00AM and see what our lil paradise has in store for us.
As more of you see me working, I hope you reach out and say hi. A wave and a smile as I drive by makes my heart happy.
MyJames went back home on Monday and I am continuing our shuttle service throughout the spring.
Grocery and errands? Dr. Visits? How about going on a sightseeing trip? I am ready to travel and take you to your destination- door to door service.

Just an interesting read from my heart.
MyJames and I were on our way to Lake Havasu yesterday and at a gas station a newish to us friend stopped and we got to visit for a few minutes:). Calvin- )
Continued on our way and had a fabulous meal at Chili’s- chicken fajitas are so tasty. Ran amuck and finally get to Quartzsite.
MyJames and I see a senior walking on a main stretch pulling a suitcase and a very determined look on his face.
We turn around and proudly scoop up said senior into my Snowbird Shuttle van and ask where he wants or needs to go?! He’s put his motor home in storage at RV lifestyles and is preparing to spend ALL NIGHT AT THE LOVES BY MCDONALDS so he can catch a bus to Phoenix at 5:30AM today.
Not on my and James watch! We invite said senior for dinner and friendship at our home and he catches a ride with us to Phoenix last night. We dropped him off at a motel close to the airport and he will be catching a cab for his flight East on Wednesday.
Why didn’t anybody else offer this fellow a hand or a ride or just inquire if he needed anything? Because everybody needs to know someone before they help or get involved?! Nonsense- step out of your comfort zone and your darn bubble and get some compassion back in your life. Think about how cold standing outside is and picture a greater than 65 year old having that kind of grit to accept doing what he had to do. You ROCK Mr. Ed:). Safe travels and see you back here in Quartzsite when you get your medical stuff done - God bless and

Good morning Rainbow Acres friends. I will begin domestic trash service this morning promptly at 10:00AM. I will start on last street and drive down each street 1 time. Please remember - 1 trash bag of 14 gallon size is a $3.00 gratuity. Happy to take as many as you need taken to the transfer station.
Thank you for helping me keep our neighborhood clean and reducing wildlife who just love spoiled and tasty treats.
