Join me September 6-16 2023 for the ACIS trip Edelweiss as we explore Vienna, Austria touring the Hofburg Palace complex, Opera House and St. Stephen's Cathedral then on to Salzburg where we will channel the Sound of Music by staying at the Schloss Leopoldskron Castle and viewing the lovely manicured gardens in front of the Mirabell Palace, the Sound of Music Churchyard and the stunning Dom Cathedral. En route to Salzburg we will be treated to a wine tasting and a Danube River cruise ending at Melk Abbey, the Baroque abbey-palace which Napoleon used as his headquarters. We will tour the exciting city of Munich, including the nearby Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial. In Switzerland we will sail on a cruise on Lake Constance admiring the Alps. We will stay in the breathtaking town of Lucerne and ascend Mount Pilatus followed by a fondue dinner. Last of all we will journey into France into the Alsace region, tasting Alsatian wines in the quaint town of Colmar and visit Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle for beautiful views of the Black Forest. It is truly a comprehensive exploration of the Germanic regions of Europe!
