✈️🧳🍍 Why Use a Travel Agent?!? 🍍🧳✈️
Technology is wonderful, and I love Google as much as anyone else, but it will never replace the personal connection and peace of mind of having a real person, who cares about you and your trip, in your corner!
If you're the type that prefers to do all of the research for a trip yourself, knows exactly where you want to go and the amount you want to spend, you may question why you would use a travel agent. There are actually many reasons to still use a travel agent to book the trip that you researched and found yourself!
🍍 You're already paying for the services of a travel agent! The small commission that agents make from your booking is already figured into the total cost you see online. If you reach out, I should be able to book the same trip you're looking at, for the exact same price!
🍍 You'll have a real person who cares about you and your trip involved every step of the way -- to answer as many questions as you can dream up! If I haven't been where you're going, then most likely one of my fellow agents has! It is nice to have a real person to reach out to with these questions, discuss firsthand experiences, and help with recommendations of things to do and restaurants to visit!
🍍 If an issue arises (weather, flight delays, illness, injury) you'll have someone in your corner who can help find new flights, reschedule your trip, and help you with the information you need to provide for your travel insurance. Many of my clients have found it very nice to be able to continue their vacation (and not have to enter panic mode) while I find new flights and book additional nights for them when their flights are canceled due to weather or other issues.
🍍 You typically don't have to talk to the vendor directly. I'll take care of all of the details for you. If there is a reason we need to call the vendor, I'll be the one to call (and usually wait on hold) to take care of it for you. Not having to waste your time on these details is a huge perk!
🍍 I may be able to present an idea for your trip that you haven't thought of -- or with very minor reconfiguring, even save you a few dollars. Remember, I research and plan travel EVERY DAY! Even if you know a ton about travel, I have connections, personal experiences, and knowledge that can make your trip even better!
🍍 For all package bookings, extra pixie dust is added to your reservation. Isn't it nice to know that you'll receive a bit of extra magic on top of amazing customer service!?!
So tell me again why you don't use a travel agent?? 😜😀😏
