Words of wisdom for us all.

Taken from a post on Fripp Island Nextdoor. This young alligator was walking the Fripp Beach last evening south of Access 18. The Fripp Island Naturalist responded and relocated the gator away from the beach.
But as was noted: Unless he returns once relocated it is difficult to determine where he came from…further up the beach; from the canal or from the ocean on tides and currents.
Always wise to be aware of your surroundings, especially during nighttime walks on our beach. Wise to have a red lamp or lens in your flashlight or stop by Springtide Market for a stick on red filter! And should you see an alligator, step back and call Fripp Security. He doesn’t want to be there anymore than you want him there. Security will arrange for a safe relocation. 🐊
