What happens to our properties during off season?
We upgrade and make our properties more inviting!! Our cottage at Ocean Isle Beach is undergoing a makeover and we are so excited for our guests to enjoy our updates!
Here is a sneak peak of the beginning of our process....we can't wait to share the finished pictures with you!
-Installing granite countertops throughout
-Updating cabinets throughout
-Painting interior throughout
-Updating some of our decking outside
-New bedroom furniture in upstairs Master and Queen Bedrooms

While peak fall color has passed on Grandfather, our higher overlooks are still prime vantage points for autumn hues in the valleys below us. This photo of foliage along the Blue Ridge Parkway, taken a few days ago, is just one view that can be seen from the mountain.

Additionally, the Blue Ridge Parkway has now reopened from milepost 285.5, at Bamboo Gap, to milepost 305, near Beacon Heights. This opens up another route to our nature park from the Blowing Rock area.

We recommend you book your visit ahead of time at grandfather.com/tickets to guarantee entry, especially in this first phase of our reopening after Helene (while we’re selling a limited number of tickets).
