Winter weather have you down? Now is the perfect time to start planning your spring or summer escape. I spent the past week at Disney World and WOW it felt like old times. Park reservations are no longer needed, you can park hop whenever you like and the dining plan is back! It felt SO good to wake up each morning and go with the flow. We didn’t decide which parks we wanted to start the day at until the morning of and it was magical! ✨

There are SO many awesome specials that are currently being offered. -Including those with the dining plan! I will be sharing some of those specials with you throughout the week.

Lots of exciting news was shared today about upcoming changes happening at Disney World!

🚨 Figment! Country Bears! Test Track! Encanto and Indiana Jones! Don’t forget Zootopia?!

Here are some highlights from this year’s Destination D23 Disney Parks panel…

MAGIC KINGDOM

🎩 The Hatbox Ghost officially joins the Haunted Mansion in late November.

🐻 Country Bear Jamboree is getting new songs and the bears will be performing a new act in 2024. They will be reinterpreting favorite Disney songs in different genres of country music.

🏴‍☠️ A new Pirates of the Caribbean-themed lounge is coming to Adventureland. This first-of-its-kind experience will extend the story of Pirates of the Caribbean.

EPCOT

🌐 World Celebration will begin welcoming guests this December.

🌊 Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana officially opens October 16. Moana will also have her own designated space starting October 16 to greet guests.

🎆 Luminous The Symphony of Us, the new nighttime spectacular, officially debuts December 5.

🚗 Imagineers along with teams from Chevrolet are reaching back into history for inspiration – from the original World of Motion – and bringing that spirit of optimism to the next iteration of Test Track.

💜 Figment is coming to the Imagination! Pavilion starting tomorrow, September 10. He’ll meet in Vanellope’s old spot at Image Works.

ANIMAL KINGDOM

🐰 A new show based on Zootopia is being created for the Tree of Life theater at Animal Kingdom. The current concept has guests visiting the different biomes you only glimpse in the film, traveling along with Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, and more.

💐 New experiences inspired by Encanto and Indiana Jones are being considered for the reimagined land (DinoLand).

Incredible news: A Stranger Things haunted house is coming to Halloween Horror Nights 2023 at Universal Orlando! I know so many fans have been patiently waiting for this announcement. My family loves Stranger Things, but I think my daughter may be their biggest fan!

This is important information to be aware of, if you plan on traveling. The resorts would never contact you for such info over the phone. This has been an ongoing issue, nevertheless, there are many people who aren't aware of this.

You arrive at your hotel and check in at the front desk. Typically when checking in, you give the front desk your credit card (for any charges to your room).

You go to your room and settle in. All is good.

The hotel receives a call and the caller asks for (as an example) room 620 - which happens to be your room.

The phone rings in your room. You answer and the person on the other end says the following: 'This is the front desk. When checking in, we came across a problem with your charge card information. Please re-read me your credit card number and verify the last 3 digits numbers at the reverse side of your charge card.'

Not thinking anything wrong, since the call seems to come from the front desk you oblige.
But actually, it is a scam by someone calling from outside the hotel.
They have asked for a random room number, then ask you for your credit card and address information.
They sound so professional, that you think you are talking to the front desk.

If you ever encounter this scenario on your travels, tell the caller that you will be down to the front desk to clear up any problems. Then, go to the front desk or call directly and ask if there was a problem.
If there was none, inform the manager of the hotel that someone tried to scam you of your credit card information, acting like a front desk employee.

ANYONE travelling should be aware of this one!

A new Disney Jollywood Nights event is coming to Hollywood Studios.
- Takes place on 10 nights from 8:30-12:30 from November 11-December 20

- Access to popular rides, including Rise of the Resistance (which will use a virtual queue)
