I love a good woodland walk. I’d recommend checking out Limb Brook near Whirlowbrook Hall for a short and pleasant walk. Also make sure you look at the Whinfell Quarry Gardens too.

I saw this unusual mural of Sheffield in Pho in Leopold Square. Also, the pho was excellent! They make the soup stock in this huge vat in the middle of the restaurant!

NEW VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

This year is going to be a busy one for us!

We have loads of exciting new things happening. In the spring we will be starting up a weekly evening session in Hillsborough Park as well as a fortnightly Saturday session. We will also be running twice weekly off-road cycling sessions at Parkwood Springs.

This means that we are in need of new volunteers. Please get in touch if you are interested and share with anyone you think would be interested.

Volunteer tasks include:
- Fitting people with cycles
- Cycling with people
- Signing people in to sessions
- Unloading cycles from container and packing away at the end of the session.

You would need to be able to commit to at least one session per week (approx 5hrs).

We can cover travel expenses and pay for your lunch and any training required.

This Fridays adventure took us North past Oughtibridge along Plank Gate then past Wortley Hall and then eventually back via Meadowhall. We spotted a tipi in a field near Wortley so went to take a look and found a Wagyu Burger place which was delicious! That’s probably the last one before Christmas now!

If you're out about today you might have seen the new West Bar roundabout is now open.

It’s part of giving you more choice in how you get around the city centre.

It’s officially open! Sheffield’s first (and the UK’s second) “Dutch Style” roundabout which prioritises pedestrian and cyclist safety. I watched it for about an hour and I must say that the car drivers did well in obeying the new road markings. This is very exciting and a fantastic new addition to our growing cycle network.

Have you been to IceSheffield? We took part in the family session which was great fun. I can’t really skate but only fell over once! I wasn’t brave enough to take any selfies! This is one of Sheffields amazing sports venues as part of our Olympic Legacy Village.
