The Cabin can be your perfect hideaway or the springboard for exploring the wilds of Ireland!
The space
Welcome to The Cabin.
Step out of the car and you'll first be struck by the majestic view of rolling hills and the giant of Slemish arising in the distance. It's quiet. Fresh country air fills your lungs.
The long, low timber-cladded cabin beckons you in...and through the door you find a place that feels like home but also feels new and intriguing. Slip off your coat, kick off your shoes and stow them in the corner rack; your retreat has begun so best to make yourself comfortable.
What first?...well nothing says home and comfort like the draw of a good fire so slip past the wooden dresser (tip: find boardgames and puzzles in here - we'll come back to that shortly) and our open-plan living, dining and kitchen area opens out before you, ready to host, feed, water and refresh you!
The fully stocked firewood basket next to the wood-burning stove will keep you toasty throughout your stay. As the fire catches, make your way to the far end of the cabin where you'll find a sparkling clean kitchenette leading into a shower room and WC. Freshen up at the sink under the gaze of hundreds of glinting stars and come back to the kitchenette. Here is your first big decision to make: will it be tea? coffee? wine? Lift out your required drinking vessel accordingly, although we have to suggest that the ultimate lazy luxury is slipping a smooth rounded pod into the Nespresso Machine and awaiting your hot, freshly pressed coffee. While you wait take a moment to look out the large floor to ceiling windows and relish in that view again. There's just something about nature, seclusion and the quiet, isn't there?
Now light the lamps and draw the curtains, we don't want any disturbance. Grab your coffee, a sweet treat and your loved one and slip under that sumptuously soft throw conveniently placed on the sofa. Heck, even pull the ottoman over and get your feet up where the flames can lick at your toes. Settle back and be enveloped by soft, cosy, quiet luxury.
Now if you haven't dozed off already here comes your next big decision....what's next? The Smart TV gives you the option of Netflix and Chill while the bookcase in the corner beckons you into a world of imagination. Remember the boardgames and puzzles cabinet? That might come in useful now, or simply lose track of time with a heart to heart with your loved one. Slowing down and getting away from the buzz of everyday routine reinvigorates us; it gives us perspective; it stirs creativity, dreams and goals; it can put the spark back into relationships and deepen friendships. This is more than just a holiday, this is reconnection, a realigning, a reawakening.
When the embers have burned low and your eyes have grown heavy, make the short journey to the bedroom hidden just behind the partition wall. Tumble into a generous kingsize bed under sheets of exquisite Egyptian Cotton and let the crackle of the last of the burning logs lull you to sleep.

Between coffees and chapters pull on your wellies and venture outdoors for some fresh air. Enjoy the lake nestled beneath the view of Slemish Mountain, wind around our growing orchard, and follow the trails into woodland, home to a variety of native Irish trees and wild critters.
When you've done enough walking, shake off your muddy boots at the door of the cabin and set your attention on sustenance. Our compact kitchenette allows you to rustle up a quick meal but you're on your holidays - let someone else do the hard work! Take advantage of our local takeaway eateries or for a true indulgence, slip into something smart and venture out to be wined and dined at some of our favourite restaurants.

The Cabin is the perfect springboard for your adventures; being located close to Northern Ireland's most scenic and renowned hotspots.
