FINALLY going through our Royal Caribbean cruise pictures from October 🙈

I can’t get over how much there is to do on a cruise. We rock climbed, mini golfed, hit the arcade (many times!), ice skated, went to family science and bingo, did Texas trivia, and watched amazing shows!

We knew we wouldn’t spend too much time in the room and got a super-reasonably priced interior cabin that slept 4. Can’t wait to sail again!!

Country Bear Jamboree at Magic Kingdom has been revamped, and it is ADORABLE! It’s usually a pass for us, but not anymore 🐻🏰

The characters are hilarious and sing favorites like A Whole New World and Fixer Upper.

If you have littles or if you enjoy being entertained while getting off your feet, this is a must do! Located in Frontierland.

🦀 Subastyn’s Bistro!

We were in search of a hidden gem resort restaurant for our arrival night in December and we hit the nail on the head at Subastyn’s Bistro located at the Caribbean Beach Resort, on the Skyliner!

The atmosphere is quaint, beachy, and beautiful. Our server was super friendly and knowledgeable which was greatly appreciated for our first time dining there.

Food is served family-style, all you care to enjoy starting with yummy rolls (with amazing guava butter!!!) and tropical salad with key lime dressing. Then there is a huge platter of Caribbean-style pork, chicken, beef, and fish with sides of cilantro rice and beans, vegetable curry, and roasted vegetables. For dessert was a giant plate of coconut-pineapple bread pudding with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce. It was all delicious!

The cost was $38 for adults and $20 per child which felt extremely reasonable for all of the courses plus soft drinks. I highly recommend getting a (dinner only) reservation at Subastyn’s Bistro! 🦀🏰

HO🏰E for the Holidays! 🎄🎄🎄

Yesterday we visited Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, and a little bit of EPCOT at night for dessert. So far I’ve tried out two new table service restaurants that were both ah-mazing. Here are a few highlights!

We’re off to EPCOT this morning and will hop to Hollywood Studios in the afternoon!

When Disney reintroduced dining plans this year, I honestly wasn't sure that many of my clients would be interested. But I was wrong! SO many families (especially with young kiddos) decide to add a dining plan to their vacation package.

Disney offers 2 types of pre-paid dining plans for onsite guests - the Quick Service Plan and the Disney Dining Plan. These plans are attached to your final payment, taking away the need to budget for food while on your vacation! Aside from that convenience, what makes the Disney Dining Plan SO popular is that many character meals (which are pricey!) qualify as 1 table service credit. So, with that plan, you could be eating with characters every day!

However, dining plans don't make sense for every family. Many times, according to your budget and preferences, it's cheaper to just pay as you go. Especially if you plan to eat a Mickey pretzel for dinner like my daughter 🤣🤣 which is perfectly acceptable at Disney! 🏰

We made it! The Mariner of the Seas is BEAUTIFUL! First stop, the Windjammer buffet. So many options and I was blown away by the quality of the food. Plenty of good things for the pickiest of eaters 🤪

Second stop, the library for some chess and checkers ❤️

We will head to our room soon to unpack and relax before our dinner at Chops Steakhouse tonight followed by an ice skating show tonight! 🥩⛸️🚢

Fall break is getting CLOSE, and our teaching / coaching family is ready for a week of family fun! 😅

We will be trying out Royal Caribbean's Mariner of the Seas on a 5-night cruise to Costa Maya and Cozumel! 🛳🏝

There is something for everyone on this ship, and that's what makes cruise vacations so great for families. My girls are SO excited to try ice skating for the first time onboard!

Can't wait to tell y'all all about it! 😀

🧺 When you think about a Disney vacation, you probably aren’t thinking about laundry!

But, Florida is hot and you and your kiddos clothes are bound to get sweaty and sticky from dripping Mickey ice cream bars!

All resorts have self-serve laundry rooms in case you need to run a load during your trip. Or if you are like me and enjoy bringing clean clothes home instead of a bunch of laundry to do 😂

My client just told me one of the greatest things about their trip was that their room at Animal Kingdom Lodge had a washer/dryer, and she did 3 loads easily on their trip!

Doing laundry during your vacation allows you to pack a little bit lighter, too!

If you aren’t lifting the lid of a washer on vacation, I understand that too, and we can still be friends 🫶🏻

TIP TUESDAY

Get your free celebration buttons as you check in your resort or enter the park. Whether you are celebrating a first trip, birthday, graduation or personal achievement.

At one point my oldest had three buttons 😅 A sweet cast member saw them dressed up as princesses upon entering the park and gave them “happily ever after” buttons!

They are so fun and a great free souvenir!

It’s almost September!!

September is one of the slower months to visit Disney as kids are back in school. Which makes it a less busy, less expensive trip! ✨👍

Thus far we are rest day people. For those unfamiliar with that term, a rest day is when you don't have tickets to enter one of the parks at Disney.

We rope drop early entry and shut the parks down! So I schedule one day in the middle of the week to "rest". Here's what we did on our recent rest day:

✨ Slept in until 7! Lol
✨ Dad and little sis watched TV
✨ Mom and big sis took the skyliner to the Riviera resort for pastries at the coffee shop in the lobby (we were pixie dusted a beautiful loaf of chocolate chunk banana bread when we had a tough time deciding between two things! So sweet.)
✨ Walked over to Art of Animation to play on the Nemo playground
✨ Swam in the pool and played in the splash pad at POP
✨ Took the monorail from MK to Contemporary to explore the resort and eat dinner at Steakhouse 71

If only a few park days are in your budget, no worries. There is plenty to do outside of the parks, and we didn't even scratch the surface! Disney Springs, the Boardwalk, complimentary round of mini golf, character meals, and so much more!

🏰🙌 Visiting the princesses is high on our list! A great way to get this done without standing in line (especially in the heat 🥵) is by booking a character meal! All royalty comes to your table for a meet and greet and a photo! So worth it! 🏰

🏰🎵🪄 Talk about magical! The Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire stage show is one you CANNOT MISS! Here’s a tip: if you’re in Fantasyland or Adventureland, hop on the train and ride it to the front of the park to Mainstreet USA. Stop in at the Confectionery to get a sweet treat, and make your way up to the castle for the show!

☀️🚡 We had a full, amazing day at MK yesterday. This morning we’re in line for early entry at Hollywood Studios! Once the skyliner started operating, we were on in no time and at HS in less than 15 mins. Today we’re most looking forward to the Slinky Dog Dash, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, and Frozen sing a long!
