This story will appear in the January 15th, 2025 Valentine's issue of The Montauk Sun in New York. When I penned these words, our upcoming Christmas and New Year's cruise aboard the very same ms Eurodam was on my mind because I had fallen ill on board during our last 2 sea days and my husband thereafter. Our initial excitement gave way to uncertainty, leading us to explore the possibility of a future cruise credit from Holland America Line, especially since the cruise was fully booked with a likely waiting list. Though that option didn't materialize, it no longer matters. Now restored to full health, Marcus and I count the days until we reunite with ms Eurodam's exceptional crew on December 23rd. As one of Holland America Line's finest vessels, she truly feels like our home at sea, her crew like family.
Print copies containing this story will be available at local newsstands from The Hamptons to Manhattan from January 15th through March 1st, 2025.
