Wairarapa decided to bring the sunshine, and summer officially kicked off with Ro's inaugural bee sting - right on the face, because why not? Better-than-expected turnout, and we ended up with 11 riders. Great group dynamics, super chill vibe, and everyone had an absolute blast. Thanks for coming out on such short notice!

Nov ADV Ride Up Date -

Hi all, For those that have not done or might be a little put off with the North Croft paper road section, Guy & I Went out for Ride to run in my old, now a classic, TT600R after its newly completed top end rebuild ( Bring back the kick I say ). Despite the day being over cast & showery over there and the grass was wet, The ground was still hard packed and dry
So, this wont be a problem tomorrow for big bikes or 2 ups so we're good to go,
BTW the bike went really well , happy days, but the only mystery issue was a rear spoke broke off and wrapped itself around the brake caliper?? and still have no idea when this happened??
Oh well we both made it home ok LOL

Hi all, important update for our "not the labour weekend ride" coming up tomorrow. As the ride is evolving as we go, we have a couple of update changes. For all when we leave Ashurst, you will need a 300k range. We will be going to the Mangawekas for those who have said they are meeting us there but we will not be stopping for fuel top up and we have moved the lunch stop to further North to the River Valley Lodge. For those choosing to meet us at the Mangawekas, could you please be meeting us at the corner of Ruahine Road /SH1, OR further North at Gorge Road/SH1, either one will be fine. Weather looks good for the long weekend so thats exciting. Look forward to seeing you all tomorrow. Any questions, please ring or message.

Hey Everyone, just a quick question, for those who are coming on the ride this weekend, how many of you have booked at Vista Lodge in Wairoa? I had booked out a bunch of rooms and they are still available. Seems there was a miscommunication, so if you still need a room at Wairoa, ring and say you with the adventure smart group. Theres not much accommodation in Wairoa so Im not sure where everyone is staying, but there are at least eight rooms booked out at Vista. Apologies.

Hi everyone. Thanks Richard and Chris for a great day yesterday. We got to go back to Fernglen Farm and we got to ride to all the top corners of the property and have put together a fantastic ride up to the abandoned airstrip and Fernglen's finest hunting lodge :-) . Please note we will try and run this, if possible, within the next two weeks on a Sunday but it seriously needs to have a lead in including the ride day of three or four completely dry days to maximise the enjoyment of all skill levels. The tracks are all clay. As a bonus, we went as far as the Big slip to find that it had JUST been cleared, happy days. Second half of the day we rode North to Tinui Whareama/Annedale and checked out the old paper road we have done before Waitawhiti Road through to route 52, this has been under new ownership by multiple owners for a wee while now so we have contacted them all and are trying to get complete access but the top gate was still locked. If any of you remember this ride, oh how it has changed. We will post the Stronvar to Fernglen/Homewood ride when appropriate.
