Reminder: Starting May 7, 2025, you’ll need a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or other accepted ID, like a valid passport or U.S. military ID, to fly within the U.S.
REAL ID-compliant cards generally have a star at the top. If you’re unsure, contact your state driver’s license agency on how to get a REAL ID-compliant card.

TSA will NOT allow you to pass through security checkpoints for a domestic flight if your ID does not comply.

Travel Credit Card Point Hacking—

One of my favorite ways to redeem points is to use them to purchase flagship business seats when traveling to Europe or Hawaii. The laydown flat seats allow you to get a full nights sleep before reaching your destination. (Also free lounge access before your flight!)

These seats are usually around $8k EACH if you were to pay cash! But I can usually find the same seats for around 50k points. You can easily hit 50k points by opening a travel credit card and meeting the sign-up bonus requirements.
Other credit card benefits include travel insurance and airport lounge access with free food and drinks.

I have a few favorite travel credit cards depending on which airline you fly and your airport home.
