Due to forecasted weather, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park and miniature golf courses will be closed on Wednesday, Aug. 30. The remainder of Walt Disney World Resort continues to operate under normal conditions. We are closely monitoring the path of the projected weather as we continue to prioritize the safety of our Guests and Cast Members.

Florida residents evacuating from the storm and first responders assisting in storm-related recovery efforts may also receive 50% off Disney Resort hotel stays on the evenings of Aug. 29-31, 2023. For evacuees, please call 407-W-DISNEY for details. For first responders, please call 407-828-3200 (Option 3). This applies to new bookings only and is based on availability.

🎄 On 25 select nights, Nov. 9-Dec. 22, this separately ticketed event will welcome guests to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year at Magic Kingdom. Holiday magic is unwrapped with the return of festive favorites like the Christmas extravaganza stage show, “Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration”, the sparkling spectacular “Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks” and the merry must-see “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade.” Guests can also look forward to enjoying some of their favorite classic and thrill attractions, including Tron Lightcycle / Run presented by Enterprise, which will use a virtual queue* during the event.

"Virgin Voyages has announced that it has partnered with the World Poker Tour (WPT). Together, they will deliver a poker experience during every sailing aboard Virgin Voyages’ Scarlet Lady, which offers four- and five-night cruises departing from the brand’s homeport in Miami.

Virgin Voyages has established a standing poker venue, the WPT at Sea Poker Room. Utilizing eight custom poker tables and staffed with professional dealers at a venue onboard the ship, the room offers beginner training, cash games, satellites and WPT prize package tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $80 to $320. The $320 buy-in “WPT at Sea” main event will be held during each sailing. Based on the number of participants, the marquee event may award a WPT prize package (valued at $5,000), which may be used on any future voyage or WPT event.

With another first, the WPT at Sea Poker Room has established a seamless experience, with cashless participation, allowing all transactions to be easily handled on guests’ wearable devices.

Have you been on Star Tours at Disney's Hollywood Studios❓

In 2024, Disney is going to add more stories and characters to Star Tours at three of their destinations around the world – Disneyland park in California, Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida, and Disneyland Paris in France.

Since it debuted at Disneyland in 1987 as the first Star Wars attraction in a Disney park, Star Tours has traveled to new places as this galaxy of stories expanded. We can't wait to see where they take us next and which friends we get to see!

Here’s hoping C-3PO’s piloting skills have improved!

After a four-year hiatus, the Dark Arts nighttime show at Hogwarts Castle has returned to Universal Studios Hollywood for select nights throughout the spring and summer‼️Included with regular park admission, the show runs from dusk to park close.

This is the first time the Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle experience has been showcased outside of the Halloween season, and it differs greatly from the Orlando version — uniquely offering a patronus drone finale (weather permitting). It will be running in Hogsmeade at Hogwarts Castle from March 25 through April 9, May 27 through May 29, and June 17 through August 1.
