Feeling thankful this week. Reflecting on the things, people and works of art that bring me joy and comfort.

Even if you haven’t booked a trip with me. Even if you never will. Thank you for supporting my page and, in turn, my business. You may think liking or sharing a post isn’t a big deal. You may think leaving a silly comment doesn’t make my day, but you’d be wrong.

I am wrapping things up today and taking the next few days off to be with my family. I hope you too are able to surround yourself with those you love. Oh, and I hope you have lots of pie 🥧

A Muppets Courtyard Appreciation post. I don’t have a picture from my very first visit to Muppet vision way back in 1993 (I think). But this first picture was taken in 2005 when my boyfriend (now my husband) and I took our very first vacation together.

Second picture is Lyra (our kid! What?!) this past May.

The Muppets have been important to me pretty much my whole life. Muppets Take Manhattan is one of my all time favorite movies. Don’t get me started on the childhood trauma of my lost Fozzie Bear toy!

I am so sad to see this go. I do hope it means new life for them on the other side of the park and I plan to come visit at least one more time before they say farewell.

In case you don’t know me yet, HI! I’m Molly. I’m a Travel Advisor, but mostly I’m very enthusiastic about travel - especially, but not limited to, theme parks!

With the holiday season underway I want to share my upcoming time off and availability.

I will be out of the office next week from Wednesday, November 27th and back on Monday, December 2nd for the Thanksgiving holiday. I will be fully available for my traveling clients during this time, but new bookings will be paused.

I will be taking a completely unplugged break at the end of the year from December 20th - January 5th, 2025 and returning to the office Monday, January 6th. I will not be taking any new bookings during this time so I can be fully present with my family and take some time to reset for the new year.

I hope you all get to spend some peaceful time with loved ones over the next few months. I’m truly looking forward to taking a real break so that I can be of even better service to you in the new year.

Please reach out as soon as possible if you’d like to start planning a 2025 trip! I will get you all set up before I step away. 💜

Do you have a favorite Disney Park memory?

I have so many that mean so much to me. It’s impossible to pick just one. Here a few of my absolute top moments:

- our first trip once the parks reopened after the pandemic. I had been planning it for years at this point. It had been so long and I cried the moment I stepped onto Main Street and saw the castle.

- being able to be an AP and get to ride Tiana’s during AP previews.

- taking both kids on solo trips this year was something I’ve wanted to do for so so so long.

- Lyra being chosen to be the beast in enchanted tales with belle and finally getting to do Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique were two very special moments.

- taking Sebastian for his 11th birthday and tearing up at our first viewing of Luminous the Symphony of Us and getting to ride TRON 5 times over 4 days!

- when I was giggling playing in Journey of Water and a woman came up to tell me how contagious my joy was and I realized how much these parks truly bring out the best in me and then cried about it. lol.

- just getting to experience the joy and magic with my family again and again. I mean a hug from Mickey Mouse never gets old.

There are a million more and honestly why I do what I do. Those memories are so magical and each visit brings more to remember. 💜

What’s your favorite thing to buy in the parks? I always try to grab a magnet from the resort or something special about our stay. The kids always seem to pick up a new plush friend every visit. 💜

Last year was the first time I was in the parks around the Christmas holiday season! I LOVED all the decor in each park. I counted all the Christmas trees and just totally enjoyed the vibes.

Animal Kingdom’s tree was my favorite and I loved the Merry Menagerie of course.

Magic Kingdom was so classic and cheery.

EPCOT’s was festive and the storytellers around World Showcase gave me such cozy vibes.

As someone who is slightly (ok more than slightly) obsessed with Art Deco, Hollywood Studios was just such a vibe! The tinsel! The decor. Gertie wearing a hat! Sigh. I loved all of it.

Unfortunately my Jollywood Nights party got canceled due to a storm so I’ll have to make the trip back another year for that.

Picking a favorite ride is nearly impossible for me. But I will say this one wowed me the most so far. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is truly out of this world! How about you? Is this ride your favorite?

You’re planning a trip and want to use a Travel Advisor to help you - what should you look for? How do you know if it’s a good fit? Here are 5 things I would look at while making your decision.

📞 Great communication! You don’t want to have to chase down your TA when you have a question. I try to respond to all questions and messages within 24 hours. If I’m going to be away or won’t be able to quickly respond for some reason, I will inform you ahead of time.

📚 Knowledge Base. Experience visiting or at least training with the destination they are booking is important. If I haven’t been there, I’ve studied it or I don’t book it. I also tap into my network should a question come up I don’t have the answer for.

☑️ Services Offered. Make sure you’re clear on what your Travel Advisor handles for you and what they don’t. For example I do not book flights for my clients. For destinations like Disney, do they book Dining, Multi Pass, and other magical extras for you? Some do, some don’t, some charge a fee for that extra help.

💁‍♀️ Personality. There are plenty of travel professionals out there to choose from. Choose one who you feel matches your travel style, communication style and personality! I am not the right fit for everyone and that’s okay!

💵 Do they charge any fees? A lot of advisors charge planning fees or fees to help with certain aspects of a trip. Some will waive fees if you book through them, or are a returning client. This should be made clear up front! I do not currently charge fees if you book your trip through me. If you want planning help outside of booking tickets, packages or hotel stays with me, I do charge a planning fee. This is calculated based on the complexity of the trip.

It’s hard to be magical. 😂💜

Cape May Cafe is such a fun choice for a character breakfast at Walt Disney World! This meal is located over at the Beach Club Resort and during my recent stay with Sebastian for his birthday we had to check it out. We ended up going on our departure day and it was the last bit of Disney Magic we needed to keep the Disney Blues from setting in. The atmosphere is a fun beach party and the characters were having a blast interacting with everyone. We were giggling the whole time. The food was really good, but you’ll find a pretty standard buffet breakfast here. Great for picky eaters or anyone who’s just here for the Mickey… I’m sorry (checks notes) Minnie waffles. Make sure you leave time tonight enjoy it. Would be great for a rest/resort day or a day where you’re getting a later start at EPCOT or Hollywood Studios since they are both a walk, boat or skyliner ride away! Characters only appear at breakfast so keep that in mind. Have you dined here before or would you add it to your list next visit? 💜

Rumor has it the Beast may start doing meet and greets again at Be Our Guest! We had a rough experience here the last time we went. It was just after the pandemic and we were seated in the West Wing. Lyra hates loud noises - thunder specifically - so she had her ears plugged the whole meal. Then we got basically a run by glimpse of the Beast during our meal and that was it. He stepped in the room - didn’t walk around, and turned and left. My actual reaction caught on tape. Lol. This change would probably get me to try it again. How about you? 💜
