Stayed a few nights
Trying to find the words to describe this place is so hard, it was just absolutely perfect! We went for a late Mother’s Day trip and all of us loved the view we had from the patio. It was so peaceful in the mornings and evenings. The cabin itself was so cozy and clean. Elena & Butch are greats hosts. It was all around perfect, we’d definitely book again in the future!

"Loved our time at Elena & Butch's place. The view was amazing, even with grey cloudy days during our time in Kerville it was breathtaking! We loved how easy it was to get to Fredricksburg for shopping and wine tastings but without the crowds of lots of bachelorette groups or birthday celebrations. Kerville is just much more relaxing and that was exactly what we were looking for. The streaming options available was a nice surprise when the weather kept us in one night, we can't wait to return hopefully to bright beautiful sunrises from the patio."

This place went way beyond what I had expected. This was our first time in a rental and we were so impressed. Clean was an understatement, this place was amazingly clean. Beds were so comfortable and had great feeling bedding. This is important while away from your own bed. A personal note and tray of snacks was a perfect touch and so sweet. Everytime I had a question, I was responded to promptly. The fireplace on the deck was so great to relax with, mornings and nights. Thank you for making us feel right at home for 3 days. We will be back. God bless.

Elena and Butch's place was an amazing Texas Hill Country getaway and they were wonderful hosts! If you're looking for the perfect Hill Country experience, it doesn't get any better! The view was amazing and the cabin was PERFECT! We have family in Kerrville so this was ideal. As soon as we entered inside we felt beyond welcomed with the kind care package set out for us. It made the stay begin with smiles and complete happiness. Our hope was to have a care free relaxing time and we did just that! We cannot wait to come back and stay again and again!

"We enjoyed every minute of our stay in Scenic Hills Getaway! The space was lovely, private, and well kept. From the morning hummingbirds at the feeder to the evening porch lights at nightfall, we relished our time at the BnB. We took great day trips to visit the LBJ Ranch, to drive the Bluebonnet Trail, to shop in historic Fredericksburg, to sample wines, and to choose a great restaurant for our next meal. It’s a perfect spot and a wonderful bargain. The owners are nearby if you need something, but they provide all the supplies and information you need to be self-sufficient. Book it! You won’t be sorry!"

"This is such a wonderful stay in Kerrville. The pictures are beautiful, but they don't do the property justice. It is such a gorgeous space with a gorgeous view. The amenities are luxurious and the hosts are so hospitable. I would 10/10 recommend this place to anyone staying in Hill Country. We had an amazing time."

Two eclipses are coming to Kerrville in 2023 and 2024! The Annular Eclipse will take place October 14, 2023, and a Total Solar Eclipse on April 8, 2024. Kerrville and Ingram will be in the path of complete totality for the 2024 Solar Eclipse and are predicted to have prime totality times, Kerrville with 4 minutes and 24 seconds, and Ingram with 4 minutes and 26 seconds.

This place is absolute perfection! It was spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and so so comfortable. The house itself is really neat and fresh. There is so much natural light (blinds on all the windows, though so no worry about early morning sun in your face,) and a stunning view. The deck is perfect for watching the sun set and taking in the natural beauty of the area. The hosts were excellent with communication and were so nice and friendly. They gave us complete privacy, though so you can stay here and not talk to a single soul if that is your preference. Quite literally my favorite Airbnb to date. I wouldn’t change a single thing. If we are ever back in the area we won’t even look for another place!

"This is my second stay at Elena and Butch’s in less than 5 months! Perfect location for my friend and I to hike at Enchanted Rock and hit up nearby favorite restaurants at night in Kerrville (Pint & Plow and Grape Juice). Simple drive to explore Fredericksburg and some wineries and come back to enjoy a bottle of wine as you look at the sunset over the hills. Perfect weekend - I love this little gem of a place!"

Elena and Butch's place is lovely, just as it is shown in the photos. It’s sunny and very clean, with a super kitchen, a nice bathroom, and a breezy porch. Beds were comfy, and the air conditioning worked great. The lower level is connected to the upper loft by a spiral staircase. It’s a very private, quiet place , convenient to Kerrville. We would stay there again!

Great writers retreat or location to stay when dropping off a kiddo at camp. I used for both purposes. The deck in the morning was breezy and comfortable. Beautiful bird watching perch. Clean, comfortable beds and thoughtful amenities. Thank you, Elena and Butch. I’ll be back!!

We had a great time at Scenic Hills Getaway! The tiny house was so well equipped, clean and secluded for us to enjoy some quiet alone time. We loved sitting on the porch watching the sunset in front of the fire pit and we having some deer visit. Really it rates as one of the top Airbnb's we have stayed in over the years. The fresh eggs were very much appreciated and Dan appreciated the snacks in the Welcome tray! We like that the house was close to Fredericksburg and Comfort where we spent time wandered the shops. We also climbed to the top of the Enchanted Rock. Thanks for making our stay so easy and comfortable! Unfortunately I don’t use FB except for the Marketplace so I don’t post anything but we will definitely give you a great review on Airbnb!

We’ve stayed at a lot of rentals and this one is by far the best. We were welcomed with a personal note and snacks. The place was very clean, roomy, bright, and had all the essentials needed during our stay. The shower is amazing, and Bluetooth speaker above shower was pretty cool. The view is awesome and sitting outside on the porch watching the sunset is beautiful. There is a lot of privacy and the owner explains everything in detail as to the arrival and departure process and answers any questions that arise very quickly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to find some rest and relaxation in a beautiful setting.

Elena & Butch are superb hosts with big hearts! They go above and beyond to accommodate their guests with attention to detail and great hospitality. I highly recommend booking Scenic Hills Getaway! I will definitely book with them again next time we’re in Kerrville!

This cabin was just as it looks in the pictures. It was new and clean and well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. There was a nice “Welcome Basket” with water and snacks! Coffee and Tea we’re also provided. The towels and bed linens were of good quality and the queen bed was very comfy. There is a notebook providing helpful info for quests. We were also treated to fresh eggs from the chickens on the property upon arriving. The cabin is close to town as well as close to Fredericksburg and Comfort, both nice towns to visit. Sitting on the front porch having a cocktail in the evening watching the sunset was beautiful, as well as having coffee on the porch in the mornings. We had deer visit and several birds. It was a quiet and relaxing stay! If you are coming to Kerrville or The Hill Country area of Texas I would highly recommend staying in Elena and Butch’s Scenic Hills Getaway!

Loved this Airbnb so much . Perfect tiny home. Great location . Loved watching the sun set from the patio or from inside . Such a beautiful home. I enjoyed the deer walking by and the falcons flying over head . Can’t wait to rent it again in a few months .
