Saltash Town Council is pleased to have supported Saltash May Fair and The Saltash Half Marathon, 5K+ and fun run organised by Tamar Trotters Running Club Saltash as part of the weekend's events.
Both volunteer committees applied for funding as part of the Town Council's grants scheme. https://www.saltash.gov.uk/grants.php
Saltash May Fair was awarded £5,000 towards the running of the fantastic weekend event and £350 was awarded to Tamar Trotters to purchase trophies for the winners.

Thank you to everyone involved in organising these amazing events for the town!

Assistant Ranger Apprentice - new job opportunity in the Tamar Valley!

The £206k Tamara Trainees project aims to improve job prospects of those living in and around the Tamar Valley and to provide support for local businesses. The project will provide a host of training opportunities, from apprenticeships to internships, for both the rural and urban populations and remove barriers which may have stopped some people from taking up training opportunities in the past.

The Tamara Landscape Partnership Scheme, funded by the aims to create a brighter future for the Tamar Valley and its communities. With match-funding commitments from other partners, the total to be invested across the Tamar Valley landscape until 2025 will be £3.2 million.
