And edible gold, yes, but edible metal? Celebrating a storied metal crafts region, a local restaurant created a dessert with edible metal coating.

1️⃣ Bhutan 🇧🇹: this remote Buddhist kingdom is also known as the Land of the Thunder Dragon, the Druk, with the dragon amongst the most highly revered symbols.
2️⃣ Longsheng/Longji Rice Terraces, China 🇨🇳: one of the world's most spectacular rice terraces sloping down rolling hills resembles the scales of a dragon's back, and together with Yangshuo, are the highlights of Guilin.
3️⃣ Ljubljana, Slovenia 🇸🇮: a city where you can sort of actually meet a dragon, well, statue(s), as popular legend goes that a dragon protects the city. Dragon or not, it is a pleasant city and a perfect starting point to discover this lovely country as well as neighboring Croatia.
2023 | For us, as well as our travellers, it has been a meaningful year of returning to a normal life of travel.
Between us and our travellers, we traversed near & far - from the not too unfamiliar Vietnam, Java and India to popular Mediterranean gems: France (not forgetting tiny Monaco), Spain, Italy, Morocco and Egypt, down to Zimbabwe & South Africa, across the Atlantic Ocean to Latin America: Peru, Patagonia & Galapagos, and not forgetting the remote New Caledonia in the Pacific Ocean - there were simply way too many to name.
We can only say a huge thank you to all who trusted us 🥰 Let's stay curious & never stop exploring our fascinating world 🌍

Last month, amidst the tragedies unfolding elsewhere in the Middle East, one of our travellers trusted us and proceeded with their Egypt 🇪🇬 journey.

Tempting as it may be to bump Germany up the order, we decided to stick to our plan & showcase Italy first.

If we could travel a year non-stop, Tajikistan & Kyrgyzstan would deserve a couple of weeks.

It has been more than a year since travel abruptly ground to a halt.
If all the pent-up wanderlust is tempting you to travel non-stop for a year, we are unveiling 15 ideas over the coming months to stoke that temptation.
First up is the vast country of China. Two weeks can easily fly by with the myriad of attractions - way too many to name than a post allows.
Whatever one’s choice might be, what is definitely seducing us are nature hikes - perhaps the “Avatar Mountains” of Zhangjiajie - simply to escape the urban jungle.

Among the new terms & words entering our vocabulary are "vaxications", travel bubbles and vaccine passports.
As it stands, 💉vaccination💉 would be the answer for those who cannot wait to start rowing (rolling) again!
As with much of this year, it may be a more muted Christmas, yet there is an air of optimism 2021 will be better.

Our founder, YK, has always a love for exploring and history.
11 years ago, way before the recent craze of discovering SG, his curiousity led him to Lim Chu Kang Road - among one of the oldest roads in Singapore.
This road was built to access the now long gone village (or villages?) and plantations. All along the road, look hard enough and you will notice old tracks now overgrown by the forest.
More interestingly, Lim Chu Kang Road was one of the two initial roads where the invading Japanese forces advanced in 1942 during WW2, pushing back the Australian troops (exhausted from action in Johore) holding this sector.
By fascinating coincidence (or was it deliberate?), this area is today one of our army's main training grounds.
