Wonderful time in Portugal, 10 ladies from Scotland, Germany, England, and my friends Karen Latter and Janice Shanahan from the USA. Rode through pine nut forest, saw the sap from the pines collected for making turpentine. Eucalyptus Forrest, many cork forests, where cork is gently removed from over the bark of the tree for harvesting every 9-12 years. Magical day on the beach ride… 14 miles that day with a 3 mile walk at break for coffee… just a incredible opportunity!!! Breakneck speed on the cantors😳 but starting to welcome that over trotting. Sat out 2 days from sore back but accommodations made it! All headed back home tomorrow!
