At the time we had no idea what a talented community existed but it has been our absolute pleasure to host so many of you over the past 3 summers💛It is your amazing images that keep our little cabin busy all season.

And to all of our guests who have celebrated all the happy occasions here… thanks you for trusting us to host you on these special days 🥂You have no idea how each milestone celebrated at Sunset View fills our hearts 💛💛

THANK YOU POST🙏🏻

Brian and I got stuck up here in Restoule during the pandemic so decided to spend the time fulfilling a bucket list item..to create a lakeside Airbnb which would reconnect our guests with nature. We had no idea if anyone would trek up to Restoule to give our little cabin a try but we hammered away, started an Instagram page and posted about our progress. When we swung our doors open in 2021 we were so surprised when we immediately sold out. Since then we have hosted so many beautiful souls and we are so grateful for everyone who has spent time at Sunset View. We are so happy to announce that for the 3rd consecutive year we have a sold out summer season (May thru August)

Thank you to all of our guests for trusting us to host you. Sunset View has been a backdrop for creating so many special memories and celebrating so many happy occasions 💛It fills our hearts to see all of you enjoying this space exactly as we hoped you would.

Brian and I would just like to say Thank You to all of our guests…past, present and future. We love hosting and will continue work hard to provide an escape where you can slow down and connect with the power and beauty of nature.

Look how beautiful our open air kitchen looks 😍

Brian and I spent the winter in South Florida and became obsessed with the mural scene in the Miami area. We connected with and began sharing pics of our fav murals and asked if she could create one on the side of Sunset Views open air kitchen. It is the first thing people see when entering the property so we wanted it big, bold, with native flora, lots of earth tones and a graphic feel. This was Hannah’s first mural so she researched and carefully sketched out her ideas. When she arrived in Restoule to begin painting she spent time collecting ferns, pine cones and little wildflowers🌻It was a joy to watch her creative process. In just a few days she literally created a masterpiece that our guests will enjoy for many years. We cannot thank Hannah enough for sharing her art with us.

Hannah is a Toronto-based artist who just recently took her lifelong art infatuation full-time after leaving her job as a flight attendant. She primarily paints pets and wildlife, although she is inspired by all aspects of the world around her and loves to try new things (like murals!). If anyone is in need of a custom piece for your home or small biz we highly recommend Hannah.

We have been going back and forth on a logo for sunset view for 2 years but once we had a look at the work that John was creating over at we knew that we had found our partner. We could not be more thrilled with our new logo and feel that he really captured Sunset Views whole vibe with his graphic representation of our little cabin. We love how he got a bit playful with the background colours so swipe and let us know which one is your fav.

Cottage owners…John is so talented and an absolute pleasure to work with. If you want to update your logo or are looking for a custom piece of art for your property we highly suggest a collab with House Logos. We have ordered a print from him and can’t wait to hang it up in Sunset View.

Our little eco-retreat will give you the chance to truly relax and enjoy the simple pleasure of being outdoors but with just enough modern conveniences so that you don’t have to rough it too hard…a true glamping experience with all the comforts of home.

CABIN STAY AND PHOTOSHOOT GIVEAWAY!!
Our 2022 season has officially ended at Sunset View and we are already dreaming up so many great additions for next year. Thank you to everyone who has followed our journey as we built this little cabin with our own hands and fulfilled a bucket list dream to host guests on our property in Northern Ontario.

What has (happily) surprised us the most is how many special occasions have been celebrated at Sunset View. We have hosted engagements, proposals, birthdays, anniversaries, retirements, honeymoons, mini moons and babymoons, BUT…. we have never had the chance to host an elopement. So, we partnered with and some of the best local Artists to create the boho elopement of our dreams.

The images from the day are stunning💛Swipe through and check out the amazing dried floral from . Trish worked her magic and we are in loveeee with the gorgeous piece on the arbour and the bridal bouquet. Our fav spot in North Bay for baked goods made us the most delish donuts for our donut towers. They looked so good and we all could not stop eating them!! And talented fibre artist Hilary created this one of a kind macrame arbour that gave us all the feels when we finally saw it set up lakeside☀️At the peak of golden hour, our beautiful couple sat down to eat lakeside…it really was a moment in time I will never forget 🌅
