We are soon embarking on a little trip to see as much of Australia that we can fit in.

▪️BARMERA▪️BENSON PARK▪️LOXTON▪️.
After confusion about time zones coming from Broken Hill (which is actually classified as SA) to Wentworth NSW, we ducked into Mildura VIC to have a look then found ourselves back in SA.
This week we spent in the Riverland, viewing the Murray at various sites. Barmera also known as the jewel of the Riverland is right on Lake Bonney, a tiny town with lots of character. On to Benson Park Farm Stay; where we enjoyed the coming of Ken a loyal and passionate farmer who got the kids (& us) earning our keep. It didn’t take long for the kids to feel at home with the animals and landscapes. It was a pleasure to help out this older gentleman keep his farm going so that us and other campers can enjoy. The week ended enjoying the sites of Loxton including Berri and a Monash. From huge playgrounds to historic villages then a paddle steamer ride. Now to end this amazing adventure of ours on a high over the next week…

▪️SILVERTON▪️BROKEN HILL▪️WENTWORTH▪️
Back into NSW we go. A week away in the outback. More dirt, dust and kids using their imagination in the wide open country.
Silverton was definitely an interesting place to go exploring. Onto Broken Hill for more exploring while we stayed at a working farm. Wentworth was our last stop before we do a bit of back and forth in our last fortnight on the road. Hittin' the frog 'n' toad

▪️PORT PIRIE▪️WALLAROO▪️
Yorke peninsula; again spoilt by this amazing coastline. Cannot believe we have never ventured here before.
Father’s Day consisted of blind folding Aaron and taking him on a day out starting with a virtual really shark cage dive, then onto the numerous museums around Port Pirie. We slowly made our way down the coast line to Wallaroo which was our base to explore the Yorke by car. An amazing week we have had. With only a few more weeks until we are home we moved on to explore some more of SA. Hittin' the frog 'n' toad Southern design RV Network RV Caravans

▪️SWIPE ACROSS ➡️
National Threatened Species Day. Classroom google meet for Hudson today so turned up as a Giant Panda 🐼
Giant pandas face a number of threats, including from poaching and habitat destruction for farming and tourism. They are currently considered “vulnerable” to extinction by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature's Red List.

MORTANA ▪️ ELLISTON ▪️KORINYA FARM
Continued exploring the Eyre Peninsula.
Love these little towns and the history that hides behind them. Long time between farm stays and this was a special one. We witnessed two kids being born in the morning while completing the farm chores. The sun was shining we all had a lovely time and ate some delicious beef. Eyre peninsula is certainly a beautiful part of SA. Onto explore some more

▪️WOOMERA ▪️KIMBA ▪️POOCHERA ▪️
Entering Woomera which is owned and built by the Defence was a bit eerie but was full of so much history. Only Kimba and we officially halfway across Australia visiting some animal statues along the way which occupied the kids. Final destination this time was Poochera; home to all the windmills and water pump swing Hittin' the frog 'n' toad

KINGS CANYON ▪️ULUṞU
An amazing week exploring the Red Centre Way. I think I broke Aaron with the 6km Kings Canyon Rim walk followed by the 15km bike ride around Uluṟu two days later, but was so worth it! Incredible height, then we went to the Kata Tjuta; The Olgas which were even higher. The Waḻpa Gorge walk was spectacular. Put it on the bucket list!

▪️KINGS CANYON RIM WALK▪️Completed ✅ 6kms in 2.45hrs. What a landscape! 500 vertical rock steps to start didn’t impress us, but the rest was amazing weaving ourselves amongst cliff faces, over fractures, through rocky terrain. Bucket list item a must for all

▪️2 OVERNIGHTS STOPS & BANKA BANKA STATION ▪️
First stopover the kids spent hours building their own ‘outback’ caravan park through the dirt. Their faces say it all. Second stopover we stopped by the relics of an old town used in WWII, where a lady made a wedding cake in a mud brick oven and sent it all the way to England in biscuit tins due the ingredients being unobtainable in UK.
Then Banka Banka Station; spent 2 nights here and enjoy everything a great homestead has to offer. A rocky walk to the lookout to see the vast country side of the Barkly region was magical. Then finish of the night with Happy hour around the camper fire involving eating damper and marshmallows and chatting the night away.

▪️KAKADU▪️KATHERINE▪️
Kakadu/kakadont : Definitely Kakadu
Although Cahills Crossing was almost dry given the season; some crocs were still spotted.
Ubirr’s rock art walk and lookout was amazing and every bit worth the steps to see the historic art.
Katherine Outback was an experience teaching us how to break in horses and how cattle dogs are trained.
What a way to end our time in Katherine cruising through the gorge. Truly spectacular landscape.

Today marks 100 days on the road exploring our big backyard.
Emotions have been high VERY high, missing everyone back home.
Social media portrays amazing adventures and memorable moments of our trip but a lot goes on behind the scenes.
We are still all here (just) treasuring this lifetime opportunity to create a huge memory for our family that will be spoken about for many years to come… bring on the next few months and what it has install for us.

What a awesome little overnight camp, still kicking ourselves that we found this.

▪️ WWII GORRIE AIRSTRIP ▪️
An awesome night spent here as a stopover the other night. We drove the airstrip, unfortunately had the caravan hooked on so couldn’t let it fly.
Another war history lesson learnt ✅

We have been MIA this week travelling the vast outback of Australia, with limited or no service. Seeing nothing more than red dirt, trees, termite mounds but awesome sunrises/sunsets. Cooler nights and warmer days. Found some great overnight rest areas with some rich history. Heading ⬆️
