Dhaval Sheth traveling through Myanmar in April 2018 and getting natural sunscreen on my face. The natural sunscreen is thanaka. Thanaka a yellowish-white cosmetic paste made from ground bark. It is a distinctive feature of the culture of Myanmar, seen commonly applied to the face and sometimes the arms of women and girls, and is used to a lesser extent also by men and boys. The use of thanaka has also spread to neighbouring countries including Thailand.

Dhaval Sheth Visit this stunning pagoda with its gold and white buildings in a traditional Myanma style. Kuthodaw Pagoda is a Buddhist stupa that claims the honour of housing the world's largest book. A spiritually significant place for followers of Theravada Buddhism, this is fascinating to all visitors regardless of religion.

Enjoying a walk on the U Bein Bridge, which is a 1km bridge in believed to be the oldest and longest teak bridge in the world. This bridge is still an important connection for the local people and is busiest during July and August when the lake is most full.
Built from reclaimed wood from a royal palace, there are 1,086 pillars rising from the water, though, not all are original.

I met this little girl while exploring the Kalaw countryside in Myanmar while enjoying the cooler air at 1320m above sea level. This little girl is adorable and she attracted all the tourists! She was very smart, entrepreneurial and quite the hustler! I passed through tea plantations, citrus groves and tribal villages. They were also growing avocados, watermelons, mangoes, cabbage and lettuce. Very rich farmland in Burma and all organically grown!!!

Dhaval Sheth rides a boat down in Inle Lake, Myanmar. My group and I explored the lake by boat and visit some of its floating villages. We also spotted the famous Intha leg-rowers during the tour.

The boat tour went to Indein, at the western end of the Lake, where farmers can be observed cultivating their produce. We also visited some of the intriguing floating villages and investigate the great Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda with its five holy Buddha images.

Known for its colonial architecture and inner cobblestone streets, the market is a major tourist destination, dominated by antique, Burmese handicraft and jewellery shops, art galleries, food stalls, and clothing stores. Bogyoke Market is a popular black market location to exchange currency. The market also has a number of stores for local shoppers, selling medicine, food stalls, garments and foreign goods.

The durian (/ˈdjʊəriən/ or /ˈdʊriən/)[2] is the fruit of several tree species belonging to the genus Durio. There are 30 recognised Durio species, at least nine of which produce edible fruit, and over 300 named varieties in Thailand, 102 in Indonesia,[3] and 100 in Malaysia.[4] Durio zibethinus is the only species available in the international market: other species are sold in their local regions.

Regarded by many people in Southeast Asia as the "king of fruits",[5] the durian is distinctive for its large size, strong odour, and formidable thorn-covered rind. The fruit can grow as large as 30 centimetres (12 in) long and 15 centimetres (6 in) in diameter, and it typically weighs one to three kilograms (2 to 7 lb). Its shape ranges from oblong to round, the colour of its husk green to brown, and its flesh pale yellow to red, depending on the species.

Some people regard the durian as having a pleasantly sweet fragrance, whereas others find the aroma overpowering with an unpleasant odour. The smell evokes reactions from deep appreciation to intense disgust, and has been described variously as rotten onions, turpentine, and raw sewage. The persistence of its odour, which may linger for several days, has led to the fruit's banishment from certain hotels and public transportation in southeast Asia. By contrast, the nineteenth-century British naturalist, Alfred Russel Wallace, described its flesh as "a rich custard highly flavoured with almonds". The flesh can be consumed at various stages of ripeness, and it is used to flavour a wide variety of savoury and sweet desserts in southeast Asian cuisines. The seeds can also be eaten when cooked.

Visiting the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir ~ Chino Hills! A Hindu temple in the USA | Dhaval Sheth

I visited the one of the most beautiful Hindu temples I've seen thus far in the United States: BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Chino Hills, CA just outside Los Angeles, CA. The structures are magnificent and awe-inspiring and you could tell a lot of planning, design, and hard work went into making this Hindu temple come to life. Everyone should visit this place! It is open to people of all faiths. There is a sense of calm and peacefulness as you walk about it.

The BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir[a] is a Hindu temple complex located in Chino Hills, in southwestern San Bernardino County in southern California. The temple belongs to the Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha denomination of Hinduism.

At least 900 volunteers including many second-generation Indian-American students gave their services, according to the temple authorities. Constructed from 35,000 pieces of meticulously hand-carved Italian Carrara marble and Indian Pink sandstone, the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Chino Hills, encompasses five pinnacles, two large domes, four balconies, 122 pillars and 129 archways. From the external walls and domes to the inside pillars and ceilings, the Mandir is completely etched with intricate carvings in marble and sandstone. The 6,600 hand-carved motifs depict a mosaic of tales of inspiration, devotion, and dedication, along with historical figures from Hinduism. Artisans created the carvings in India with great love, skill, and patience before the pieces were shipped to Chino Hills

After waiting in a long line (or que), I finally was able to pick up my racing bib and t-shirt for the 2022 La Jolla Half Marathon. In this video you will see me with other runners getting pumped for the race which on Saturday, April 16, 2022 from Del Mar, CA to La Jolla, CA. The race is a whopping 13.1 Miles from start to finish!

On my second day in Cabo San Lucas, I took an UBER from the Royal Solaris in San Jose Del Cabo to a very popular joint called The Office. The food and alcoholic beverages are fantastic. I am at the Del Mar Fairgrounds to attend the Union Market Place- Sports Card Show. One of my passions has been sports card collecting. Although I don't have a large collection, I like collection sports cards (mainly of the San Diego Chargers) the NFL team I grew up watching. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find the ones I was looking for, but I am going to keep trying! I am here with my friend Barrett as we walk the grounds of the show and give you an overview! What is great about going to an event like this is to see people have the same passions and hobbies as you do. It's also amazing to see how sports cards have become such a big business over the years! Everyone should experience one of these shows once in their lives. Now that the COVID lockdowns are easing up, it is good to see people outside and interacting with one another.

I took Southwest Airlines back to San Diego. I always seem to have the worst luck every time I fly back to San Diego from the Bay Area. My flight got delayed by an hour and it literally happened just as I returned by rental car. (On a side note, if you ever need to rent car, the best place to book is from Costco--Hands Down!) About to Start the San Diego Rock and Roll Half Marathon! ~ Dhaval Sheth After a crazy morning of trying to catch an UBER to Downtown San Diego, I ended up driving my own car. I was lucky to find parking. I participated in one of the most popular annual runs in San Diego County. The San Diego Rock and Roll Half Marathon! There is also a full marathon as well. My race started near Balboa Park and ending in Downtown San Diego. This course takes you through some of San Diego's great and historic neighborhoods such Hillcrest, Little Italy, and North Park. While I was here I believe some said there were over 20,000 participants for the Rock and Roll Series! On the Grounds of the Tesla Manufacturing Headquarters in Fremont, CA! ~ Dhaval Sheth

During my weekend trip to the Bay Area this Memorial Day, I managed to visit the grounds of the Tesla Manufacturing Headquarters in Fremont, CA. Fremont, CA is a city located South of Oakland, CA and is part of the Silicon Valley. What is so incredible about this facility is that it is one of last major manufacturing centers left in California. Most of them due to high cost of living, doing business, excessive taxes and regulations, and the political climate of California have left for other states like Texas, Nevada or Florida. Many have even left and gone overseas! When you walk on these grounds you can still feel that no matter what that the American Dream is alive and well and that the Bay Area of California still remains as one of the world's leading centers for innovation. Elon Musk, currently the world's richest man, is truly a visionary. Although I don't own a Tesla car yet. They are truly amazing and fun to drive! At this plant nearly 600,000 Tesla's are made each year and all models. Here are some of the details of this incredible manufacturing facility in Fremont, CA from their website: Tesla’s factory in Fremont, California is one of the world’s most advanced automotive plants, with 5.3 million square feet of manufacturing and office space on 370 acres of land. Following the City of Fremont’s approval of Tesla’s expansion plans in 2016, the company will nearly double the size of the facility to almost 10 million square feet, creating thousands of new jobs in the coming years. Today, close to 22,000 employees work at the Fremont factory. Prior to Tesla, the facility was home to General Motors from 1962 to 1982, then GM and Toyota’s New United Motor Manufacturing, Inc (NUMMI) from 1984 until the partnership ended in 2009. Tesla purchased the facility in 2010 and extensively remodeled it before the first Model S rolled off the line in June 2012.
