Passport Book vs. Passport Card: Which One Do You Need? 🤔✈️

If you're an American traveling internationally, you’ve got two options: a passport book or a passport card—but which one is right for you? Let’s break it down! ⬇️

🔹 Passport Book
✔️ Good for: ALL international travel (air, land, and sea) 🌍
✔️ Accepted everywhere for entry/exit
❌ Costs more ($165 first-time, $130 renewal)
❌ Bulky—won’t fit in your wallet

🔹 Passport Card
✔️ Wallet-sized & cheaper ($65 first-time, $30 renewal) 💳
✔️ Works for land & sea travel to Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean & Bermuda 🚢
❌ NOT valid for international flights—no flying overseas with this!

Bottom line? If you ever plan to fly internationally, get the book. If you only road trip to Canada or cruise the Caribbean, the card might work, but you will need to upgrade if you ever decide to fly or go on a cruise that requires a passport. My advice? Don't waste your money on the card!
