(Updated) PUBLIC ADVISORY || CAAP ADVISES TRAVELERS TO DOWNLOAD “TRAZE” APP – The locally-developed contact tracing mobile application will now be required for all airline passengers beginning November 28.
The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) Area IV is encouraging those who wish to travel via plane to download the app.
“ALL airport passengers must download and register an account in the TRAZE Contact Tracing App beginning November 28, 2020, prior to entering the airport,” the statement read.
Here are the instructions:
1. Download the TRAZE App from your mobile store and install it on your phone.
2. Open the app and click the “Register” button below. Register as “Individual”.
3. Just follow the instructions indicated in the app and input the needed information.
4. Activate your account.
“Meanwhile, for passengers who do not have mobile phones or any other mobile gadget, they may go to the Malasakit Helpdesk at the airport, wherein they will be provided assistance in getting a unique QR code. Or they may likewise ask a family member to register them with the app,” the statement added.
The app was developed by the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) and Cosmotech Philippines, Inc. as a touch-free contact-tracing device that can be used whilst the COVID-19 disease remains to be a present threat. | via Patricia Laririt
