1) Lower crowds- Few families go on vacations once school starts up, so the ships are emptier, excursions are easier to book, and embarkation/debarkation days go much quicker!

I'm sure everyone has seen the devastation that Milton has caused. In an effort to be mindful of the millions of people who have been affected by this horrible storm, I will not be posting anything travel-related for the next several days.

5) Savannah, Georgia- Savannah has a huge Halloween festival each year called "Scare on the Square" that makes it the perfect spot for your family to get into the fall spirit!
4) New Orleans, Louisiana- This is a city that embraces its spooky-side year round, but especially in October!
3) Orlando, Florida- I know this sounds crazy in the midst of hurricane season, but there are so many special Halloween parties and events that I can't leave it off this list!
2) St. Helens, Oregon- St. Helens was the main filming location for Disney's "Halloweentown" (one of the greatest Halloween movies of all time!) Every year they bring back the Halloweentown decorations to celebrate!
1) Salem, Massachusetts- Salem is the perfect mixture of spooky goings on, and history! The Salem Witch Trials museums and tours are fascinating, plus you can find filming locations from Hocus Pocus and Bewitched!

Disney's All-Star Movies Resort is a must-stay for families! This resort has FIVE specially themed areas- Fantasia, Love Bug, Toy Story, 101 Dalmatians and Mighty Ducks! Jonathan and I stayed here during the first part of our honeymoon, and we LOVED walking around the resort and seeing all of the statues and decorations in each themed area.
