It's been a while, but it's time for another Friday Favorites! Here are my Top 10 Favorite Things About Disney Cruise Line! (And it's sort of a long one, because I really love DCL!)
10) Castaway Cay and Serenity Bay- Disney's private island is so gorgeous! Upkeep for beaches along cruise routes can be difficult due to the number of tourists that come and trash the area, but Disney keeps their beaches pristine and fun!
9) Ease of transportation- DCL offers bus transportation from MCO and Disney Resort Hotels to/from the cruise port in Port Canaveral! And, when you stay at a Disney Resort they will pick up your luggage from your room the morning you leave so you don't have to worry about a thing!
8)On-board trivia- I'm a sucker for free stuff and I LOVE a good trivia night. Every day they host multiple trivia events (some Disney-related, some not) and winners get one of DCL's EXCLUSIVE trivia medals!
7) The entertainment- Disney has Broadway-style and Broadway-quality shows on board that are unmissable! Plus, many of the rotational dining restaurants have their own shows and entertainment as you eat!
6) The adults-only spaces- When people think Disney, they think "oh it's just for kids" but that's simply not true! No matter what your age, Disney has spaces perfectly curated to your needs and desires! So drop off those kids and enjoy some me-time!
5) The food- The food on board is EXQUISITE! Especially at Palo and Palo Steakhouse (depending on which ship you are on)! These restaurants do have an extra cost and are adults-only but they are SO WORTH IT!
4) The kids clubs and nursery-Disney has the most imaginative and engaging kids spaces that are specially themed to every kid's interests! And, the cast members who work in these spaces are highly qualified, trained, and vetted so you can trust them with your child's safety!
3) Senses Spa & Salon- This on board spa has everything! From massages to facials, you will walk out of there feeling completely refreshed every time! You can also buy a Rainforest Room Pass for your sailing which gives you unlimited access to their saunas, heated loungers, hot tubs, and more!
2) Rotational Dining- This is unique to Disney Cruise Line! While you will change dining spaces each night, you keep your same service staff so you will get to enjoy different menus and themed restaurants but maintain the relationship you have with your servers!
1) The Disney Magic- Disney just does it better. The service, the theming, the entertainment, the food-- they just know exactly how to make your vacation spectacular no matter your age or family make-up!
