A lot of new followers here thanks to so I feel like a proper introduction is in order. My name is Rebecca Hartzler, I was born and raised in Canal Wi******er and a 1995 graduate of CWHS. My mom and stepdad are retired teachers in CW and the town has been important to my entire family for many decades. This was my parents first home they owned in the 70’s and 80’s, and the one I called home until the age of 7. Last March, by some serendipitous fluke, I decided to do a search in CW (I now live in California). This home was the first to come up! It was owned by the same family that my parents sold it to for nearly 40 years and was then given much love by When I saw the house on Zillow, I immediately turned to my husband who was born and raised in Southern California and said “we have to buy this house”. Of course he thought I was crazy, but the more we considered it, the more we couldn’t think about not owning it! Although true home is California for me now for over 20 years, I so happy to have Hometown Hygge be part of our families life again. We enjoy the holidays and breaks here and are making so many beautiful memories in the little town that is so dear to my family. However, because we spend much of the year in California, we are able to share this beautiful cozy home with visitors to the community. Because like us, we know many people move away, but still want to return home just like us. Welcome to Hometown Hygge. This is the home I lived in as a young child in Canal Wi******er, OH. I moved to California in my 20’s, and although that is home now, there has always been a special place in my heart for my hometown. I recently purchased this home back to have a place to stay when visiting my family. After years of struggling to find a cozy place to stay when in town after my parents downsized, I realized there was a need. My friends needing a cozy place to stay when in town, look no further! Soon you will be able to rent Hometown Hygge as well!
