Beautiful day on beach. Much cooler at beach and in water there was a distinct colder layer of water below and a warmer layer on top! Felt fantastic!

The deer are a view from our balcony. Water pictures are from the beach. 4th of July is a great time to spend at the beach. There are lots of people around but plenty of space to relax and enjoy!

Restaurantes on 30 A that I’ve been to:

Favorite: Shunk Gully- never had a bad meal there. Good service, hot food. Always enjoy their music talent.

Second favorite: Local Catch - outstanding fried shrimp. Great cocktails. Good service. Sautéed spinach was over salted - keeping it real folks.

Another favorite is Elmo’s. Lots of food for the money! Very chill place. They do not have cocktails. Bartender not so nice. Good entertainment. These folks are fun.

Stinky’s Fish Camp - good food when it is served hot. Go early or wait a long time for a table.

George - at Alyce Beach - best hamburger I ever had. Super waiter!

Johnny McTye - Good pizza, could use a little more cleaning, but good.

Goat feathers- super seafood market. Good food, nice staff. Best cocktail sauce in town.

Auston’s in Destin - great food, strange waitress.

Fat Clemenza in Destin - so good. Even the drunk lady was entertaining. Can’t wait to go back.

Farm and Fire Pizza - pizza was ok but the salad they served me had obviously been sitting in a fridge for several hours. with too much salad dressing poured over it. Nice staff. Not sure if I’ll go back.

Grayton Seafood - I haven’t felt so invisible in my life. Lady at the front desk felt that talking to her dog was more important than seating us. The food was good but I’m not sure we will ever return.

Vue on 30A - super waitress but the way they managed table’s didn’t make sense. Folks across from us were served their food and no one brought them utensils to eat it with. The guy finally got up and got his own fork, no one ever gave them a steak knife for his very large steak! My grouper was fishy and OVER seasoned. It wasn’t worth what it cost. I was so looking forward to it and had reservations for a month only to be disappointed.
