Should I bring my own cutlery for my trip to Japan?

Japanese food is tasty but eating it might be hard. In most places you can ask the place for a fork and knife but when you do use chopsticks follow the Chopsticks etiquette and don’t do things like point with the chopstick, pass food around the table with it or leave it stuck in the rice.

Japan is very environmentally friendly. One of the problems many tourists encounter is the lack of garbage cans on the streets. Although finding garbage cans in the street is rare, you can find them in almost every convenience store and it's important to separate them to their correct recycle can.

It's custom in most Japanese households and lodging places to not wear shoes inside. That is why you should use the slippers they give you and don’t forget to leave the bathroom slippers in the bathroom.

I’m a night owl, and I love late dinner. Will that be a problem in Japan?

Restaurants can close by early evening in the countryside, but also in the big cities. If you are in the countryside, you should eat dinner earlier and you can find a convenient store or a vending machine almost everywhere and you can buy food from them.

Dear Dr. Google, I'm trying to communicate with the Japanese but they just don't understand me. What can I do?
English is less practiced in Japan therefore when you visit Japan you may find it problematic to speak with the locals in English, You can use apps for translation like "Google Translate".
You can try to speak slower or even better you can show them the written sentence. But sometimes it doesn't work, and you need an urgent assistant.

There is nowhere like Japan's public transportation, right? The Shinkansen, the cleanness, always on time, packet... However, there are limitations...

Public transport limits you to main places – off-the-beaten places are not very accessible and the info in English is very limited.
