Ringed neck Pheasants are commonly spotted on our property. And once you learn what the males sound like, they can’t be mistaken for anything else. I just love their beautiful colours.

Our meaties will be getting processed on Wednesday next week. We will have fresh, whole chicken available that evening. They will then be available frozen.

We are selling them for $5.50/pound. We’re expecting them to finish between 5-7lbs. They will also be provincially inspected.

We will also have a limited number of organs and chicken feet available as well. (Edit: feet are all sold)

If you would like to purchase some, send us a message with quantity and if you like to pick up or have them delivered fresh on Wednesday.

It’s been a fun learning curve (they’re so much different than laying hens). It’s also been rewarding to show Addy where her food comes from. She has loved on these guys, helping check on them, but knows they will be filling our freezer to feed our family.

Our shower and tub got a makeover!

We replaced the old tub with a nicer soaker tub, pulled out the surround and replaced it with this gorgeous tile.

There is a “bouquet” of Ring necked Pheasants that call our Caragana home. They can usually be seen during the day looking for food in the fields.
