We cut a lot of our cabinetry today. Moment of truth will be tomorrow when we puzzle it all together and build the drawers. Fingers crossed it all fits perfectly! 👷🏽‍♂️👷🏽‍♀️

With new ideas every day, it’s tricky to settle on a plan. Ours has been changing basically by the hour! Making little puzzle pieces of our components to scale has helped us shuffle things around and play with our ideas without having to redraw every time. Throughout the process, we’ve learnt to not get attached to the original plan, and allow change to happen.

Insulation is so important in a van! So we decided to invest some dollars in getting it done professionally. Pretty stoked to keep that heat in! Now we’ll have figure out how to loose the least amount of heat through the windows.

Yesterday we built these brackets to mount our solar panels to the roof track. It all started with an old flat piece of aluminium and two people wondering: how are we going to do this without spending $250 in hardware? Well, we just custom-made them ourselves! Saved some money and repurposed existing materials. Win-win! 💰🌎🌿

Productive day at the Vanasutra factory! We installed our roof tracks and swapped the simple hatch that came with the van for a Maxx Fan. Hoping this spring brings us more sunny days to keep up the good work! .
