I am hopefully looking for 1 - 2 people to rent my place as a whole from 17th June to the end of August/beginning of September (11 weeks). These dates are slightly flexible and you don't need to rent exactly the whole time.

Fisherman’s Cottage near Beach

Hello lovely ones,
I thought I would share the street art that is in my neighborhood in Cabanyal, Valencia.
Cabanyal is an up-and-coming area next to the sea in Valencia. It is known as a village because of the feel of it (not the size as way bigger) and also because it is full of fisherman’s cottages (these are amazing artistic buildings but that is for another post 😂).
Cabanyal is a mixture of local Spanish people, gypsies, and expats and it is slowly being gentrified (or rather quickly in the last 5 years as prices are going up fast).
These photos are on my street plus just a few streets on either side. There are way more streets with street art on it!
The sad part is quite a bit of it is disappearing as buildings are being renovated or built. Maybe I should make a book of ‘Cabanyal Street Art’. Any takers to help me design/publish it? 😊

Hello, lovely ones,

Well, my place has been (nearly!) completely furnished with lots of beautiful furniture, fabric, and plants (see additional photos). There is still the project of the balcony and the roof terrace where I will be adding table and chairs, a pergola, sun lounges, and maybe a BBQ.

The place is 5 MINUTES WALKING FROM EVERYTHING and is a complete hidden gem. when I say 5 minutes from everything I mean - beach, sea, farmers market, shops, cafes, restaurants, jazz club, flamenco, live music, dance clubs, massage places, beach bars, sports, wind sports, beach volleyball, European bookstores, amazing healthy takeaway places, shops, bike places, train station, bus stops, tram stations......the list goes on and on.

At night Cabanyal is very quiet as it is a village (except for when it is the Fallas Festival in March and sometimes when there are Spanish/Gypsies partying but that is part of being in Spain).

The place will be available for rent long or short-term starting May 2024. Please forward this to any friends and family and PM me if you are interested (where I will give more details such as the price as it depends on the length of time and the particular months).

It has great WIFI and a huge TV (I love movies so I like a big TV), a lovely big sofa, hot water and two very comfortable beds (oh and lots of storage).

Plus beautiful high ceilings, wooden beams, exposed brick walls, and lots of fairy lights (very romantic at night).

Hello lovely ones,

Firstly thank you for all your birthday wishes and sorry for the delay in replying, especially if you wished me HB via FB.
Thank you, I feel loved 🥰.

Secondly, the reason for the delay is that I have been slightly busy (and extremely stressed) buying a house in Valencia 🏡🏖️☀️😊😊😊

So for my birthday this year I have a lovely top floor apartment in a fisherman’s cottage 5 mins walk to the beach, sea, marina, lovely cafes and restaurants and 20 minutes cycle to the old town with outstanding architecture and to the new science and arts centre (the space ship buildings).

It has beautiful wooden beams, a bedroom balcony, a rooftop terrace overlooking the area and beautiful stone work too 😊

F**k yea!!! Finally - big grin 😄.

I will be living there part time and renting it out the rest of the time.

Finally for the ones in the know of how stressed I have been and some/all of my journey to obtain this house which seriously wasn’t easy- thank you for being there. The adventure continues…..
