The last few months have been difficult. People and local economies that rely on tourism have been crushed, hosts around the world have lost millions in annual booking revenue, and guests have had to abandon or reschedule holiday trips with their loved ones. The travel industry at large is facing massive changes and will never be the same. Much is still uncertain, but what is certain is that this is a MINOR SETBACK for a MAJOR COMEBACK for private vacation rentals. After experiencing a big drop in traffic to our site during March, we are happy to report that our traffic volume is not only returning to normal levels but is trending higher than before the crisis as more people are searching online for private vacation homes than ever before. As travel restrictions ease and guests plan their trips for the rest of this year and next, demand for private vacation homes where families and groups of friends ensure a safe and secure environment will be unprecedented and for the first time will likely outperform demand for traditional hotel accommodation.
