The age of 🏛️Anahita Temple🏛️ goes back to the centuries before Christ’s birth. It has received its name because the historians first considered it to belong to Anahita, the Persian goddess.

📌This structure has been built on a hill with a height of thirty-three meters above the ground and has an area of more than forty thousand square meters. The footstone of this historical structure was set in the Achaemenid period, and it was later completed during the Sassanid era.

📌Since the main function of Anahita Temple has been worship, relics belonging to the Zoroastrian religion have been found inside it, which shows that the religious ceremonies of Zoroastrianism have been held in this construction.

🏛️Tabatabaei House🏛️ is one of the old and beautiful houses of Kashan city, which was a personal property of one of the famous carpet merchants of Kashan.

📌Tabatabaei House has an area of over 4500 meters, including forty rooms, four basements, four yards, and three wind towers. In terms of decoration, this house is one of the most beautiful houses of Kashan.

📌Khajeh Rabi ibn Khuthaym was one of the close companions of the Prophet of Islam and the commander of Imam Ali (First Shi’a Imam).

🏛️Khajeh Rabi Tomb🏛️ was built based on the recommendation of Sheikh Baha’i and the order of Shah Abbas Safavi in 1622 AD. Khajeh Rabi is one of the oldest religious people who was buried in Mashhad.

📌Khajeh Rabi Tomb is also very important in artistic terms. Because in it, the art of the Safavid dynasty has been beautifully displayed. The outer surface of the Khajeh Rabi Tomb consists of colorful and often cyan tiles.

✝️Saint Stepanos Monastery✝️ is one of the monuments of Iran which was listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

📌Archaeologists believe that the monastery was approximately built between the 7th and 9th centuries.

📌The main materials used in the exterior walls are red and white stone which, apart from the Muqarnas works on the interior walls, gives the church a beautiful reddish appearance.

📌All Christians in Iran respect Saint Stepanos Monastery, but in fact, it belongs to Gregory Christian Armenians, who gather annually on specific days to perform religious ceremonies at this monastery.

🏛️Moshtaghie Dome🏛️which is also known as Se Gonbadan (three domes), is one of the monuments remaining from the Qajar period in the city of Kerman.

📌Although this place has been the tomb of Mirza Hossein Khan, one of the famous Sufis of the thirteenth century A.H., who was stoned to death in 1792 because he used to sing Quran with the melody of setar.

📌Moshtaghie Complex which are built in recent centuries include tilings, paintings, fillets, and Muqarnas.

In the vicinity of the city of Maragheh, there is a village called Varjavi, which has a historical background, an🏛️Mehr Temple🏛️which is a monument belonging to the Mithraism period in Iran, is located in this village.

📌Until this day, the archeologists consider Mehr Temple to belong to the Parthian period.

📌One of the reasons behind the existence of several temples in the Parthian period has been religious tolerance and refusing to choose one single religion by the government, which reveals the high insight of these rulers.

🏛️Pahlavanpur Garden🏛️ which is one of the vastest and greenest gardens of this area, was constructed during the dynasty.

📌The central part includes the entrance of the garden and in the central palace in the west is located a building named Zemestan Khane (Winter House), in the east Golin Tower, and carpet weaving workshop, stable, and the storehouse in the south of Pahlavanpur Garden.

📌In the recent period, the tourists can also have a residence in this garden, because a hotel using the traditional Iranian architecture has been built inside it.

📌During the reign of Shah Tahmasp I, the capital of the Safavid dynasty changed from Tabriz to Qazvin. Later on, Qazvin City had major changes and many buildings were constructed there, including this two-story Palace.

Paintings on the walls of 🏛️Chehel Sotoun Palace🏛️ are among the main decorations of this palace; other decorations include doors with Khatam-Kari decoration (Khātam is an ancient Persian technique of inlaying.

📌It is a version of marquetry where art forms are made by decorating the surface of wooden articles with delicate pieces of wood, bone, and metal precisely-cut intricate geometric patterns), tiling and gilding.

The oldest part of 🏛️Tabriz Jameh Mosque🏛️ is the main Shabestan with numerous columns which date back to the Seljuk period.

📌The main features of the mosque include old stuccos of Mihrab, the brick ceiling of Shabestan and the stunning tiling.

P.S: Mihrab, a semicircular niche in the wall of a mosque that indicates the qibla; that is, the direction of the Kaaba in Mecca and hence the direction that Muslims should face when praying.

🏛️Markar Clock Tower (Ferdowsi Clock)🏛️ is a building located in Yazd’s Markar Square near The Markar Complex.

📌In 1928, Pashootan Ji Dusabhai Markar, an Indian Zoroastrian, decided to build some schools in Yazd for the purpose of education of children in Yazd. The Markar Complex includes elementary schools and high schools for girls and boys, and a full-facility gratis dormitory for poor children.

📌In 1935 the Municipality of Yazd decided to build Ferdowsi’s monument. The monument was initially planned to be built on Pahlavi Square of Yazd, which was disaccorded. Then it was decided to be built in Markar Square. For the same reason, this clock, which is the monument of Ferdowsi, is also known as the Markar Clock Tower.

Ya’qūb ibn al-Layth al-Saffār is the founder of the Saffarid dynasty. This great Iranian man, who was born in Sistan, had a great role in perpetuating the Persian language.

🏛️Chalabioghlou mausoleum🏛️ dates back to more than 800 years ago and is 16 meters high and 6 meters in diameter.

📌This construction was the tomb of Sheikh Barragh, one of the elders of Sultan Muhammad Khodabandeh and the followers of the Mevlevi Order (followers of the great Iranian poet Rumi).

Kogan Cave is located in Lorestan province, near the city of Khorramabad. To reach the cave, you have to move from Khorramabad to Pol-e Zal on the Khorramabad-Pol-e-Zal highway. After 50 km from the highway and 6 km to the east to reach Kogan Cave. The Kogan hand-digging cave is located in a narrow, long, and green valley.

The first historical reports about a city with 7 great and high fences were written by Herodotus, the ancient Greek historian during the Medes period. He regarded Hegmataneh (Ecbatana) as the center of the Medes government which was constructed by Deioces, the first king of the Medes. This city has long been a capital city for the Medes government, till the city was dominated by the Persians with the invasion of Cyrus, the founder of the Achaemenid dynasty.

Khwaju Kermani Tomb: Khwaju Kermani tomb was built in 1936. Khwaju Kermani tomb is located in the north of Shiraz, at the skirt of Sabou mountain, at the beginning of Shiraz-Isfahan road, in Allahu Akbar strait. His grave is in the vicinity of the Quran Gate.

Quran Gate: In the past usually, the cities of Iran had four gates in the four main directions of the city. The city of Shiraz was no different, the beautiful city that has been the capital of many dynasties ruling Iran.
