Sea time is Tea Time! Tea, finger sandwiches, desserts, and a view of the ocean. What is there not to love about Tea Time?
Tea time normally happens in the mid afternoon on sea days. If you do not see it under activities of your cruising app, check under food.

My cruise coming up is a short one, only 3 days! I usually take a 7 day cruise or longer. But there are lots of benefits to taking a short cruise!
-Price! Shorter cruises cost less, so it’s a budget friendly vacation. When booking a cruise, remember that the cost includes room, food, activities, and travel.
-Less time off of work! Taking a 7 day cruise means you miss out of a minimum of one week of work. It’s common for work places to offer two weeks of PTO, you may not want to eat up half of that for one trip. A 3 - 5 day cruise means less PTO (or UNpaid time off) used.
- Good for first time cruiser! A lot of people are concerned about seasickness or not being comfortable on a ship. If you or someone you know is a first time cruiser, a short trip is much more manageable and can help ease concerns.
- Better night life! Since a 3 day cruise is more affordable and means less time off, they tend to be more party-focused. Shorter cruises tend to have a younger crowd because they are easier for college students or people who are just starting in the work force. Plus, less time on the ship means you should live it up while your on there!

My favorite late night treat on a cruise is what I call Schnokolade. It is soft serve ice cream mixed with hot chocolate (both available 24 hours a day). The German word for chocolate is “schokolade” but at 3 am after drinks at the casino and club my brain cannot read German… and I added an “n” and butchered the pronunciation… but now I’ve been calling my concoction Schnokolade for years, and have passed on this winning combination to many others.

Splashdown Grand Turk is a 3,500-square-foot attraction featuring replicas unique to the Mercury space program, including a scaled 20-foot-tall Atlas rocket and a full-size, three-dimensional replica of astronaut John Glenn in spacesuit, and a detailed replica of the Friendship 7 capsule, which splashed into the Atlantic in 1962, a few short miles from the island of Grand Turk. This exhibit is free and located on the south side of the Cruise Center, making it a must see when you dock in Grand Turk!

I love cruising with my family, friends, and my wife, but my favorite cruise buddy of all time would have to be my grandma! She was such a giving and caring person and my best friend. Her favorite thing to eat on a cruise ship was the strawberry soup and one time her outfit matched it!
Grandma unfortunately passed in 2015, but her memory will live on forever. Swipe to see fun memories!

If you are celebrating something on your cruise, let them know! Cruise lines want to make your trip special so they are great ways to celebrate anniversaries, honeymoons, birthdays, bachelor(ette) parties, etc.

Where is Jimmy? Mission Trails Regional Park, San Diego, CA
This park is an open space preserve with many plants, wildlife, and terrains. It has many different trails to hike with varying difficulty and distance. If you live in or travel to the San Diego region, I highly suggest a visit to Mission Trails!

to when my wife and I went to Cabo San Lucas on the Norwegian Joy in January 2020. That ship was beautiful and had outstanding entertainment on board! We saw Footloose the Musical, Elements (Cirque du Soleil type of show), and Wine Lovers the Musical (dinner theater performance with wine!) and all were spectacular!
Cabo San Lucas (aka Cabo) is a popular cruise and travel destination. It is located on the southern tip of Mexico’s Baja California peninsula. If you cruise off the West Coast (i.e. Long Beach, San Diego, etc) there’s a good chance you will visit Cabo. It is one of the staples of Mexican Riviera cruises.

Did you hear that Royal Caribbean has a new ship expected to launch in 2024? It is called Utopia of the Seas and will be the biggest cruise ship ever! Pictured is their previously largest ship, Harmony of the Seas, next to Carnival Pardise.
