For hiking lovers, be sure to visit Aska Trails Long Branch Loop Trail located 35 minutes away from the Honey Hole Retreat. The trail is 2.1 miles long and is its hiking difficulty is labeled EASY.

The trail begins at corner of the Shady Falls parking lot. Trail leaves parking area and enters onto the old logging road. Within 300 yards, the trail forks to make the loop. The right fork goes gradually downhill on the roadbed, crosses the creek, and ascends gently on a grassy road. At 0.75 miles the Long Branch Connector trail leads off to the right. The left fork, continues the Long Branch Loop, which descends to the branch, crosses the creek and ascends on an old road back,
to the parking lot.

Parking is FREE! Search Google for Aska Trails Parking Lot (Long Branch Loop Trailhead). Address is 101-199 Shady Falls Rd, Blue Ridge, GA 30513.

Float your worries away! Fightingtown Creek flows north toward Tennessee. Our family enjoys tubing up the creek. The trip takes about 1 1/2 to 2 hours depending on the current level and speed.

9 Tips for Floaters:
1. Park your car at Red Oak Lane (the end of the trip). If your headed back into McCaysville on Mobile Rd., turn left on Red Oak Lane. It is located before the bridge on Mobile Rd near Copper Curve.
2. DO NOT PARK on the grass. You will get stuck. Park on the side of the road under the trees, but off the road.
3. Make sure your return car has enough room for floats and floaters.
4. Make sure you leave towels in your car.
5. Be sure to keep your trash with you and help keep our creek clean.
6. Don't forget your car keys. You will need a water proof bag.
7. After you go under the bridge stay to the left. You will immediately get out after going under the bridge.
8. There is a huge rock formation right before you get to the bridge. It's a nice place to stop and take some pictures.
9. We recommend any kids under 10 wear a life jacket.

SLEEP & PLAY!

Nothing better than the kids getting their own room while on vacation. The recreation room includes games (air hokey, foosball and poker table) for entertainment and sleeps up to 8. The bunk beds include six (6) twin beds and there is a sofa pull out for two (2).
