Happening THIS WEEKEND Tennessee Sandhill Crane Festival - January 18th & 19th 8am-4pm Witness the breathtaking return of up to 20,000 sandhill cranes at the Hiwassee Refuge. The cranes have been spotted all over our beautiful county as they make their journey to the Hiwassee Refuge and surrounding areas. This is a FREE EVENT for you to enjoy - Thanks to Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, Birchwood Area Society Improvement Council, Cherokee Removal Memorial Park, and Travel Meigs County.
