The dock is in at Lake Daze!
Lake Daze just got high speed cable internet and cable TV! Previously Lake Daze had satellite internet & TV because it was the only option available, but as of today we're pleased to better serve our customers with high speed cable internet and cable TV.
Lake Daze is starting to book for the summer of 2022 so if you're interested in staying at Lake Daze then you may want to start finalizing your plans now. Thanks to everyone for making Lake Daze such a huge success!
Fireplace stonework and kitchen backsplash complete
Now that the new fireplace is installed, we're going to install a white oak mantel and stain it to match the railings on the stairs. Additionally, we're going to finish up all of the stone work around the fireplace both inside and out.
Here's a video of the fireplace from the outside. Now that it's complete, we're going to place ledgestone rock around the fireplace.
When we initially installed the fireplace, the glass cracked so we never hooked it up. We think it might have been cracked when it was being framed. We just installed a new fireplace and hooked it up. It looks sweet!
Finishing up a couple of loose ends while outside of the peak season. Added stairs all the way down to the winter pool.

At Lake Daze, all of the decks, hand railings, steps, and the dock decking is made of IPE (pronounce EE-pay) wood. It's one of the most dense woods in the world. It will not splinter, requires no maintenance, and is cool to the touch.

In addition they helped me decorate the place. I could not have done it without them. If you have any interest in building at Norris Lake, I highly recommend Mike and Britney and would have zero reservations using them again. And of course a huge thanks goes out to my wife who provided many valuable inputs on design and decoration options and who took care of the children and house as I made trips to make this happen. Bottom floor tile
Coming along nicely, interior paint is finished, kitchen cabinets are set, bathroom floor tile and vanities are complete. Trim (baseboards and doors) will be worked on today. Baseboards will be painted on Friday. Carpet on Monday and furniture arrives on Tuesday!
Railing started, decking continues, & primer complete. A lot's going to happen in the next 12 days. That deck looks amazing when it's wet!

Siding is started, drywall is almost finished, master shower tile on the top and middle floor coming along nicely.
Went and picked out all of the tile yesterday. I think most of the major design and color choices are complete!
Drywall and windows are coming along nicely. I'm really liking the large windows next to the see-thru fireplace.
Shingles - check, insulation - check, and bottom deck about complete.
Construction is coming along nicely!
