Time to sort the bodge repair the previous owner had done and was charged £1000. Must have used a roller to put the paint on then filled the rubber trim and sprayed it black and got most of the pain on the van !!!! Cowboys

Having problems with wipers just randomly stopping, they go into park fine but then just stop ? This has been going on for a few months.
Recently went to Ireland and drove from Sheffield to Holyhead and it rained all the way and all was well until ten mins away from ferry port and they stopped ?
I’ve had an auto electrician out and he just stopped a couple of relays and said they should be fine. This was a week before I went to Ireland so obs that was wrong. Previously to that I fitted another wiper motor and obs not that. So when I spoke with the auto electrician he said it could be the intermittent wiper control module but that is probably fitted behind the dash.
Well I can tell you it’s not. In the photo you can see a black cover held in place by two nuts. I removed that and as you can see there is a relay and the small box which is the control box. I have just replaced the relay to see if that was at fault. If the wipers fail again I’ll replace the control box. Watch this space

Wiper motor has always played up. Works when it wants. Not a lot of good when your in the M18 and it’s pi***ng down
So went on Auto doc and put Reg in and one came up at £20
Thought now that’s a bargain, I had serviced the old one but that made no difference. New one came took old one off and then realised the mounting holes are in a different position and the multi connection is totally wrong.
Did another search and they are like hens teeth to get. And in the uk £318 !!!
Found one in Germany made contact with the company and they won’t send to uk !!! Fortunately I have a nephew who lives there, he’s purchased it ( £118 euros) and is going to send it over. I have also sent the original one away to be fully stripped and rebuilt.

Polar/ Minster screens have good offers at the moment for wind blockers. Very well made as well
You need to talk to Graham 0114 247 2623 and tell him John O’ malley has recommended them. He’s a lovely chap.
They have a place in Sheffield and Birmingham.

Well cambelt done, new diesel
Filter housing and front cross member replaced. And a service so should be good for a while. £1100 bill but that was all included in the price I paid for the van
320 solar panel plus all the Victron bits and bobs including trickle charge the engine battery. Also a new 220amp battery.
