We didn’t get the chance to make it over to The Quail House but we had to go see the others in one of the biggest snows middle Tennessee has seen in a long time! They look so cozy with snow!

We have partnered with a local business to stock all of our houses with firewood! This firewood is cut, stacked and seasoned by a local family in the area. We know how important a fire is on these cold nights and we did not want anyone visiting to have to haul in their own.

We are officially open for bookings! Welcome to Container Albatross!
The goal for this build was to use as many repurposed materials as we could, starting with the shipping container! The bathroom door is from an old school house and the cabinets are from our 1970’s a-frame just down the road. We couldn’t keep them in that build, but we held onto them, knowing that we would have the perfect space for them one day.
We even decided to go with an incineration toilet to reduce the impact on the land and stick with the recycled theme that we’ve done throughout this home. We took old plywood and ripped it down to 8 inch sheets for all of the interior walls and ceilings. Everything else that you see has came from other projects or is repurposed in some way.

Crane’s Cabin is a brand new construction house on 5 wooded acres at the entrance of Fall Creek Falls State Park. Our 576sq ft cabin has one bedroom and one bath. The space is decorated with every detail in mind giving you a modern feel while keeping it cozy. We also have 14 foot ceilings and an outdoor Clawfoot bathtub! Enjoy Fall Creek Falls and all that the area has to offer. The area is filled with shopping, restaurants, hiking, waterfalls, multiple state parks, kayaking, fishing and much more!

Stain color can make or break the space. On every one of our houses we have went with Bark Mulch by Cabot and I have to say it looks good with any color or siding. What do you think?

There isn’t a visit that goes by that we aren’t taking photos of The Quail House. We just can’t get enough of it.

A year ago we had a shipping container setting in our backyard with no land or idea what we were going to do with it. Fast forward too today and we are putting together the finishing touches to start hosting guests. It’s crazy what a year can bring.

When building a container home there is a lot of unconventional cost. Here are just a few that most people probably don’t think of. Thankfully our home only uses one 20 foot container so these cost weren’t that expensive.
