Trying something new, before I try something new

I have never ridden a "real" train...I did a short Amtrak one when in high school and the public transit in DC a gazillion years ago

But this is a real train so it's a first time

Pro tip if you are taking luggage so worth doing the premium ticket...one checked bag and 2 carryons...premium lounge with food bar and drinks...and free Uber after the train and their staff are so awesome

My next first thing will be the cruise later today...I'm excited and just a tad full of nervous energy

Sometimes your plans change

Lark and I were so excited to bring women a rejuvenating retreat in beautiful St. Lucia in March but at this time have had to cancel our event.

Alaska is calling

The plan was that I was supposed to get to Alaska last year but it WILL happen in 2024

Sometime between June through September but not late July or late August due to other events I will be doing

I am totally open to going by myself but before I start booking official plans, I want to hear from you...would you be interested in joining on this trip?

It may be part land, full cruise, some train...I'm open to a few options but want to get plans in motion before too long

This will be my last of the 50 states to visit!

I took a last of 2023 up to Traverse City and found the cutest lil burger shop but since I don't eat mammals I was so excited to see grilled cheese and both a vegetarian and turkey burger on the menu! Definitely give Oakwood Proper Burgers a visit if you are in the area!

I don't claim to be a foodie...but wow, my quick trip to Ohio this weekend was so yummy

My friend's cousins hosted a fancy Christmas dinner/game night that I joined and now I want all my future hot apple cider to look and taste this good

Fun stop at the 2nd Street Market where we had amazing breakfast crepes from Crepe Boheme and rum cakes from The scRUMptious Dessert

Lunch at Wheat Penny Oven and Bar

And then she got me hooked on an Ohio favorite of Graters Ice Cream omg the chocolate pieces in this just melts in your mouth not like the lil fake chunks in most ice cream

So many reasons to love the lil airport I fly out of so often 💜
