Disneyland vs. Walt Disney World - they are basically one in the same right? Spoiler alert, they are NOT! Let's talk about two of the biggest differences between the Disneyland Resort in Southern California and Walt Disney World Resort in Central Florida.

✨ Size - think of Disneyland as just that, a land. Opened in 1955, Disneyland was Walt Disney's vision come to life where families could spend time together and enjoy life's magical moments. Known as The Happiest Place on Earth, DLR is comprised of two parks, Disneyland Park & Disney's California Adventure. In one word, Disneyland Resort is WALKABLE.

Walt Disney World Resort was intended to be a fully immersive world for guests to vacation and truly escape. Comprised of four parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, & Disney's Animal Kingdom) and 2 water parks. In addition to countless activities for the whole family such as - mini golf, horseback riding, boating, four 18-hole golf courses, and more. Given the size of WDWR, Disney has created an internal transportation system of buses, boats, Monorails, and gondolas for guests ease of transportation to and from the parks and resorts.
