Day 3: We finally found some sun!!☀️

My first time ever visiting Progresso! 🇲🇽 We took a free shuttle from the ship, into town, and walked along the Main Street area along the beach. The water wasn’t the prettiest I have ever seen but there was SUN (we’ve been searching for that the last couple days) and that’s all we cared about!

🚢After a few hours spent in town, we hopped back onboard and spent the next couple hours relaxing on the adults only pool deck, played some more trivia (and won!!) and ended the evening with LOTS of character meet and greets!! 📸

Onto Cozumel tomorrow!!

PS: Don’t forget that Disney Cruise Line has not one but TWO incredible promotions going on right now!!! It’s definitely the best time to get YOUR cruise booked!! 🙌

Day ✌️ is in the books!

We started our Sea Day with breakfast at Lumiere’s. I ordered a peanut butter and jelly pancake and it was DELICIOUS!! 🥞

We then spent the day taking pictures around the ship, playing LOTS of trivia (bringing home the win for Marvel AND Disney Movie Quotes) and ended the evening having dinner with Rapunzel and friends! ⭐️

🏝️ Our first port of call on this itinerary is one that I’ve never been too: Progresso!! Looking forward to exploring the area!

When the Girls’ Trip finally makes it out of the group chat, MAGIC happens!! 🪄

🗓️ It’s been a year since we have all been together, so this trip was long overdue! And it is also the first time that we have ever gone on a trip (all 4 of together) that was not work related!

We boarded the Disney Magic yesterday, departing from Galveston, for a 5 night Western Caribbean sailing!

After settling into our staterooms we played a few rounds of trivia, went to the Broadway-style production of Tangled, and then enjoyed dinner at Animator’s Palate.

After dinner, we went to Fathoms to enjoy Decades Music Trivia and then my favorite game, Magic Quest! It’s like a giant scavenger hunt but with items on or around you, so you never leave the room you’re in. We won by a landslide and brought home a gift bag full of goodies!! 🏅

Premier Pass Thoughts…

I will do a more in depth review once I get home but in the meantime, I’ll let the numbers speak for themselves:

665 minutes standby/posted wait time: 11 hours, 5 minutes

151 minutes of actual wait time with the premier pass: 2 hours, 31 minutes

Saved 8 hours, 37 minutes with the PP today!! 🤯

🚨 Remember my post last week that said I had done something I said I would NEVER do when it come to Disney World?! Well, here’s what it is!!

I bought the Premier Pass for Magic Kingdom today!! (And on a holiday weekend at that!🤑)

🔑 The key benefits of the premier pass (instead of the standard multipass) means that we will get
entry to each available lightning lane experience, even the most popular ones that would typically require an individual lightning lane to be purchased!!

There is also no need to schedule specific times for each attraction, as we can stop by each ride at ANY time throughout out the day. ⏰

🏃‍♀️ This was probably the biggest selling point for me: no zig-zagging through the park in order to catch our one hour return window or needing to be checking my phone for return times.

I love booking my vacation as early as possible, with these low deposits (and Disney Cruise is currently having a 10% deposit promo) so that I can plan accordingly and take time to pay my remaining balance!!

Fun Fact: When I say I book early, I mean it. I currently have a cruise booked for 2028!😂

Here’s our day in the Windy City!!

Ellie and I traveled from South Bend, Indiana to Chicago via train (our first time)!! We had a day filled with so much fun: visiting the bean, Fields Museum and Shedd Aquarium. I even tried a true Chicago style hot dog for the first time and I am HOOKED!! 🌭

We ended the evening sightseeing holiday lights and listening to street music! 🎶

Disney Magic is REAL!! 😍 A few days into the cruise, Ellie received a special invitation to attend an unknown event on the final night of the cruise.
