Help the Friends of Mount Vernon Trail make safety improvements to Bridge 31 near Theodore Roosevelt Island.

Many refer to Bridge 31 as "Trollheim" based on its history of being slippery, particularly after rainfall. The Friends will be implementing multiple recommendations from The Mount Vernon Trail Safety Study on Trollheim.

They need your help today to purchase a non-slip treatment to apply to the bridge. This treatment will either be an industrial strength paint non-skid paint coating or an industrial strength anti-skid strips.

The choice of treatment options will be determined by an NPS compliance review.
