This white linen dress has been hiding in my closet for a couple of years now. I found it at a great price in Sorrento, but never quite knew how to wear it. Recently, while shopping my closet, I paired it with a denim jacket and my silver Gucci Blondie. Still unsure about the accessories, I found my inspiration during a trip to Rome.

Passing through Rome, I did a bit of window shopping and observed the effortlessly stylish Italians. Casual yet impeccably dressed, their flair for fashion left me in awe. One lady in particular, getting off the train, completely inspired me. Her look was so simple yet so chic!

Traveling solo? Here are my top 3 safety tips for hotel stays that every female solo traveler should know! 🏨✨

1️⃣ **Room Check**: On arrival, walk through and videotape your hotel room to document its condition and ensure you’re alone.

2️⃣ **Secure Your Space**: Lock all internal locks. Always carry a door alarm or portable door lock, especially if your room lacks adequate internal security.

3️⃣ **Stay Vigilant**: Never open your door to anyone unexpected, including housekeeping.

Check out my excursion to a Turkish rug factory and store in April when I visited Istanbul and Cappadocia. Turkish rugs are not cheap, especially the ones made with silk thread. But it was fascinating watching the process and getting to look at some of the finished products.

Hotel Review: The Hotel Louvre Saint Honore, Paris, France

Located less than a 10-minute walk from the Louvre Museum in Paris, France, is The Hotel Louvre Saint Honore. I stayed at this hotel in August 2023.

Here's my review of my hotel room:

🌟 What I Liked:
1. Very spacious room, especially by Paris standards where hotel rooms in the historic district can be very small. The room also had great natural light and a small terrace that overlooked the indoor garden in the hotel. There was also a very nice coffee and tea setup in the room with a cappuccino machine, strip coffee, tea, and a nice selection of drinks.
2. Extremely spacious bathroom with a very nice walk-in shower. This is not something you always find in boutique hotels in Paris.
3. Very good and strong air-conditioning, which is great for those of us who constantly experience that personal summer 😳 IYKYK.
4. Good closet space with a safe, ironing board, and lots of room to unpack and store my clothing.

👎 What I Didn't Like:
1. The extremely tiny elevator I had to use to get to and from my room. However, I was still grateful that there was an elevator because sometimes small boutique hotels don’t have them.

🌿 I can’t overemphasize how conveniently located this hotel is to the Louvre. I picked it because of the advertised proximity, and it was really, really close. It is also very close to cafés, restaurants, and shopping.

The staff was very helpful and friendly, which doesn’t always happen in Paris, France.

Overall Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would definitely stay there again whenever I visit Paris in the future. I enjoyed being in this location of Paris much more than being adjacent to the Eiffel Tower. You can also walk along the Pont des Arts and get to the Eiffel Tower, even though it’s probably more like a 15 to 20-minute walk. The hotel location is also very convenient to the Louis Vuitton Museum and the Samaritaine shopping plaza.

My flying dress photo shoot
📍 Istanbul Turkey

If you are looking for an affordable, flying dress experience, skip Santorini, Greece or even Capadocia Turkey and do your flying dress photo shoot in Istanbul.

IMHO Istanbul Turkey is the best place to have a flying dress experience for an affordable price. In other places, these photo shoots can exceed $350 USD. I wanted to keep my photo shoot under $250 USD and I was able to do that in Istanbul.

The dress, staff help, photography and video were all included in the price. The Photographer was very professional and really knew how to direct me to get the photos and videos I wanted.

The entire experience was very pleasant and I would definitely do it again and highly recommend working with this company to do your flying photo shoot in Istanbul Turkey.

This is my hotel room review of my room at The Lancaster Hotel. Accra Ghana.

This is a review of my room, not the entire hotel.

I stayed in the room from December to January when I was there for New Year’s. I spent about 5 nights there.

Pros
The room was nice and spacious but pretty standard. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was standard but had a nice walk in shower. I had a pool view which was nice. Great closet space and I like that there was a coffee and tea set up in the room and a mini refrigerator. I wish there had been a microwave. But Most Hotel rooms don’t have that.

Cons:
No iron or ironing board in the room
AC was not cold enough

Overall I give it 3 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of five stars
